A humanitarian walk in Calgary and Edmonton!

A walk named Light of the Night will take place in Calgary and Edmonton on September the 25th. This walk is aimed at raising money against cancer and its an amazing experience. It is a twilight walk and people carry illuminate balloons. Red for the supporters, white for the ones who have or survived from a cancer and gold for those walking in memory of a loved one.

This walk takes place in 68 places of North America every September. Participating in the Night Walk is a experience that will keep everyone humble, those that know someone that survived cancer, those how knew someone that didn’t. Even if you are one of the lucky ones and have never come in contact with cancer it is still a good thing to participate in this walk. The Cancer foundation can use every person and donation to find a cure for this dreadfull disease.

Light The Night is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s of Canada’s major fundraiser. This year, the goal is to raise $3,000,000 and they only reached a third! The money is used for research, patients care and advocacy. So you have the opportunity to take part to a real movement which help the whole population. Cancer is knew as the illness of our century!

This is one of the things I really love in America and Canada is how people commit themselves in humanitarian causes. This is the good occasion to get to know more about the Canadian culture and to be one of these little things which all together change the world!
