Halloween is being celebrated throughout Canada. Now, at the Vancouver Aquarium, they are celebrating their own version with an under the water event. Called Spooky Seas, the theme features newly landed pirates that have taken over the aquarium, and they are taking you aboard their ship.
Vancouver Aquarium also has an exclusive Skulls, Bones, and Creeps of the Deep exhibit which takes place in an underwater dolphin exhibit. The underwater exhibit displays the skeletons and skulls of killer whales, dolphins, sea lions, and many creatures found under the ocean. Here, you can come face-to-face with these animals, without the fear of being eaten alive!
Most of us have heard of 3D, but have you ever heard of 4D? 4D stands for the fourth dimension. It is a combination of 3D with physical effects, stimulating your senses. In addition to seeing eye-popping visual effects, you also literally “go along for the ride”, as you feel your chair moving and swerving with the waves of the pirate ship, and feel the mist and spray of the ocean in your hair.
Lastly, there is a scavenger hunt where you could possibly find some of the treasures the pirates have left behind!
This event takes place from October 15-31, 2010.
