Vancouver Indian Summer Festival

Indian Summer Arts Society, Teamwork Productions and SFU Woodward’s are proud to present the first annual INDIAN SUMMER, an international festival of arts and ideas. INDIAN SUMMER showcases top talent from India – across music, dance, literature, film, cuisine, yoga and wellness – in conversation with Canadian counterparts.
Coming to Vancouver this summer, the festival will celebrate the official ‘Year of India in Canada’ and Vancouver’s 125th anniversary with summertime flair over 10 days of programming at SFU Woodward’s, 149 West Hastings St. Tickets start at $8,-.

Vancouver 125th Birthday Celebration: Summer Live in Stanley Park

An evening of free reggae & ska performances in Whistler Olympic Plaza

This evening of outdoor concerts in Whistler Olympic Plaza will kick off at 6:30 PM with Rise N’ Shine from the San Juan Islands with their ska, rock and reggae tunes with a Pacific Northwest feel. Whistler’s own Kostaman takes the stage at 7:15 PM. Reggae hip hop group, Giraffe Aftermath, from Richmond, B.C., will put on a show starting at 8 PM before the headliners Redeye Empire take the stage at 9 PM, playing tracks from their recently released album, Last Chance for Sunshine. DJ Phroh will keep the music spinning and the groove going between sets.
