Here, you have the opportunity to take part in several exciting Volunteer Projects, whether you are an animal lover, a friend of the environment or an adrenaline seeker, our programs here have something for everyone!
Guyana is an English speaking country in South America and is home to some of the most unspoiled, and beautiful wilderness and wildlife. Guyana is a great opportunity to experience new cultures, give back and learn about yourself!
At the moment, we have these exciting projects to offer!
Wild West Guyana: This 2 week long experience allows you to live out your inner cowboy (or girl). Where you have the opportunity to live on a ranch, ride horses, round up cattle and master the lasso!
The Last Vaquero (Cowboy):This program also lasts 2 weeks and you will get the rare opportunity to live amongst the cowboys in Guyana and help build an old style, split wood coral for horses. This program also offers the bonus of visiting a rodeo festival!
Wildlife Paradise:In this program you have the option to stay for 2, 4 or 8 weeks where you will live in the village of Surama. Here, you will have the chance to assist with wildlife monitoring programs as well as making wildlife and forestry trails and animal spotting hides. This program is perfect for the animal lovers!
Amazon & Ameridians: This program also offers 2, 4 or 8 week stays where you will spend your time helping set up sustainable eco-tourism. If you are interested in the environment and love working outdoors, this program is perfect for you! Some of the tasks may include fauna monitoring programs, dugout canoe building, forest trail planning and so much more.
Amazon Survival: This program is for the outdoorsy adventurers out there! You will take part in a 2 week Amazon survival course learning how to find water, make traps, hunt, build shelter and leave a trail for rescuers. This one of a kind experience will teach you invaluable knowledge and give you stories to last a lifetime!
