Have you been in Canada during the fall, winter or spring? Then you probably wonder, as I did, about how Canadians dress. In the fall, when it’s time for me to put on my winter jacket, Canadians still run around in t-shirts. You might also have noticed the beautiful fashion of rain boots they like here – boots others would only wear to do their gardening work. But then again, if you spent your winter in Vancouver and water has covered your feet for 6 month, you get why they need them. With the first peeks of sun in spring, just when you got used to see those rain boots all the time, Canadians tend to change them straight to flip-flops. There is nothing inbetween. Even if it’s still minus 5°C – if it’s sunny, it’s summer! And finally, when you barely started to enjoy the warmth of the summer, Canadians turn on the air conditioning, so you need to carry a jacket just in case you enter a building or a train.
Had similar experiences? Or did you just adopt the fashion and no weather is too cold for you now?
