INTERNeX Canada – Casual Friday

Vancouver finally got a summer. Some of us thought it was never going to come, but it is definitely here! Many of you have joined us at the beach and know what it’s all about. If you haven’t tried out any of Vancouver’s beaches you definitely should!

Here’s a little bit about some of the beautiful beaches of Vancouver!

Spanish Banks – This beach got its name because of the Spanish explorers who discovered it in the late 1700’s. It is located in Kitsilano and is made up of 3 spectacular banks that you can go and soak up the summer on. The skyline gives you a taste of the mountains and downtown.

Kitsilano Beach – This beach is better known as Kits Beach. It is also located in Kitsilano. This beach tends to be filled with a younger group. There is a pool located nearby so if you don’t want to get in the ocean water, you can hit that up. It has the same views as the beach… just in pool form :). This beach was originally named Greer’s Beach but was renamed after it was purchased by another group of people.

English  Bay – This beach is located downtown in the hub of Vancouver. It is one of Vancouver’s most popular beaches. There are many homes located near this beach, making for some of Vancouver’s most expensive real estate.

Wreck Beach – This beach is located in Kitsilano as well. It is known as the party beach. Many of the university students gather here for some weekend fun. Be aware it is a nude beach so if that not your scene then there are always the other beaches of Vancouver!

For more information and more beaches check out the Vancouver Park Board website.

Cheers,

Katie
