What to do on the weekend?

It’s already weekend again and Vancouver has, as always, great events planned for you, such as the Granville Island Winterruption Festival, a late night movie on Valentines day or free samples at the Baker’s Market.

From February 14th till February 16th the annual Granville Island Winterruption Festival will be held. This festival is a truly unique winter festival in Vancouver. During the festival you can discover artists’ exhibits, local food, French films and Pop up Dances around the Island all weekend long.

If you are fan of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet you should not miss this late night Valentine’s Day movie with beer, popcorn and grilled cheese at the Rio theater on East Broadway. The movie starts at 11pm and tickets cost either $6 in costume or $8 regular. So crab your dearest on Valentine’s Day an head out to the Rio.

For all the sweet tooth’s here in Vancouver it is almost a must to visit the Baker’s Market on Sunday 16th. You do not only see beautiful baked creations, but you can also try them for free! The market runs from 11am until 3pm at the Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre (7646 Prince Albert Street)

Or why not joining the INTERNeX gang on Friday for the Valentines Day Pub Crawl and on Saturday for some ice skating fun. We meet at 6pm on Saturday at Robson and Howe st. Click here and here to join the events.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
