The last couple of days the weather was awesome and so you got the chance to do lots of stuff in and around Vancouver; so we did. I hope you guys were able to enjoy it to the fullest too. Sunday we went to the Capilano Suspensions Bridge Park where we experienced the magic of Canyon Lights. We were truly amazed by the hundreds of thousands of lights mounted all around the park, the world’s tallest living Christmas and the illuminated canyon. It was easy to get into a Christmas Spirit because of all the lights that spread a really unique and magical Spirit.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is supposed to be one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vancouver and now we can confirm: especially with the lights on it’s worth a visit!
Don’t forget to put this annual traditional holiday attraction on your to-do-list!
You can get there quite easily since they provide a free shuttle leaving from Canada Place every 30 minutes. Probably depending on the bus driver you get a little Sightseeing tour for free on your way to the park, which is not only quite funny but also useful.
Saturday night many of us headed to Vivien’s house for her “Housewarming party die Zweite”, during daytime some went to the University of British Columbia just for looking around. In my homestay we already decorated our Christmas tree on Saturday. It looks like a typical American Christmas tree: completely overloaded, over decorated and cheesy! Just the way you imagine and precisely like those you know from Hollywood movies. However that be, we had lots of fun especially because for the first time in a long while I could decorate a Christmas tree again.
Due to the fact that the pre-Christmas season already started last Sunday I would like to remind you that we’ll have a Christmas Dinner with SECTRET SANTA on Friday, December 4. For more information and for signing in, please click here.
I’d love to see many of you there since it’s my last weekend.
