What’s so special about Portland, you might think? Why should I go on a roadtrip there? Well my friend let me tell you. Portland is the largest city in the state Oregon and is best known for its many parks, bridges, microbreweries and the International Rose Test Garden. You might have heard of Portland as, Rose City, PDX or Stumptown, but what makes this city special and fun to visit is the hipster vibe. You can run into fully grown men with big beards sewing their clothes on an old fashioned and non electrical sewing machine. Portland is a city that embraces self-expression and the inner artist! The city is all about getting down to earth which is clear in the many different cafes, breweries, bakeries where only the finest ecological ingredients are used. It’s homemade, fresh, delicious and WORTH A TRY.
Portland is really serious about being casual and about not getting caught up with things. The atmosphere is low key and supportive of those who are different. The citizens of Portland definitely want their city to be like no other and their unofficial slogan for the city is “Keep Portland weird” which is something you will quickly notice when you are there. We have put all the best things Portland has to offer into our 3-day trip and we are so much looking forward to it.
