I am Iris van Knippenberg and I am the last new member of the PR department of INTERNeX. I will be joining the PR department until the end of August and help organising weekly events such as the PuB NiGHTS and trips to, for example, Granville Island, and monthly events as well.
As you will see me a lot during the events, a small introduction might be nice to start with. Just like the others, I am Dutch as well. I come from a small village in the Netherlands and therefore it has been quite an adventure to live in the great city Vancouver. I just turned 21 and you know what that means, right? Legally drinking in the USA. Currently, I am in the third year of my study International Leisure Management, which gave me the chance to travel around the world. I already went to Helsinki on my exchange for 5 months and now I am about to start a new adventure in Vancouver.
The one thing that I enjoy the most is travelling, exploring new places and meeting people with different cultural backgrounds. It is just so great to learn about all the different habits of other countries. My other interest therefore does make sense too, which is learning new languages, so I would love to learn some new words from you that I can take back to my home country. Besides travelling, I enjoy going to festivals and concerts. However, I can also enjoy a simple drink in a bar.
It would be very nice to finally meet all of you at PuB NiGHT tomorrow!
