On Saturday we went to CelticFest at Robson square. It was great to see you even though a lot of you celebrated St. Patrick’s Day the night before. Thank you for coming!
During CelticFest we were celebrating the Irish national holiday St. Patrick’s Day. On this day, the Irish commemorate the holy Sint-Patricius. However, a lot of Irish people just see it as a day to celebrate being Irish and as a reason to drink. One of the activities organised during the week of St. Patrick’s Day is CelticFest. CelticFest is an annual festival being held throughout the city of Vancouver. There were several activities organised throughout the week. Some of these activities were free of charge, such as the parade and the CelticFest activities at Robson square.
We were really lucky with the weather. Saturday was a sunny day and therefore it was really nice to hang out at the CelticFest. At first we walked around and passed some small stands with green and Irish clothing. After that we watched a band playing some typical Irish music. Besides that we also watched an Irish dance performance at the Beer garden and at the Robson square. As the weather was so nice, we decided to go to Canada Place to watch the view. Then we went to Tap&Barrel and enjoyed some drinks, nachos and hummus. We also could not resist the free nacho refills. When we finally filled our stomachs, we finished our day with watching the seaplanes take off.
I hope you enjoyed the great weather this weekend! See you on PuB NiGHT!
