Yesterday we went to the Lamplighter for PuB NiGHT! Once again, so many people that showed up. Thank you all for coming!
The Lamplighter is a pub in Gastown. It is part of the Donelly group, which you immediately feel when you step into the pub. This also gave me a familiar feeling, as we have been going to pubs from the Donelly group a lot. Lamplighter might not be the most cheapest place for drinks, but the atmosphere is good for sure. The pub has a cocktail of the week. This week’s one was the Gin Tonic, which was $2 off. Besides that they have a lot of beers and ciders, so there is something for everyone.
There were several screens in the pub that showed us a game of the Stanley Cup: Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks. This meant that a lot of Canadians went to pubs to see the game. The Lamplighter was also very busy, but luckily we had our own spot in the corner of the pub. During the breaks the pub was playing “Bourbon Bingo”. You could get free sheets at the bar and could win bourbon shots, a $25 gift card and a beer. Almost everybody started to play bingo, as it was free anyway and we simply love bingo. One of our group won the bourbon shots and others were close to win the $25 gift card.
After the bingo we ended in the Met. Everybody immediately started to write down songs that they wanted to sing. Obviously, we had to sing the INTERNeX song “We are all in this together” of High school musical too, because a night at the Met without an INTERNeX song does not exist. Others were daredevils and sang a song without the whole INTERNeX group. I am glad that I finally had my karaoke experience in Vancouver.
Overall, it was an amazing night. I hope to see you all this weekend at Lighthouse Park or at next PuB NiGHT!
