3, 2, 1 and it’s weekend again! And even though the weather forecast doesn’t seem too promising, there are many things going on in and around Vancouver to brighten your mood. Here’s a selection of activities that you can do the upcoming two days.
All weekend, you can visit the West Vancouver Spring Carnival. Many rides, games and delicious carnival treats are waiting for you. On Saturday it’s from 12pm until 11pm and on Sunday from 12pm until 7pm. Just go to the Ambleside Park (1150 Marine Dr, West Vancouver) to join the fun. Tickets are available on side and the pricing is as followed:
- Single Gold Ticket: $1.25
- Red Book (20): $23.00
- Blue Book (40): $45.00
- $40 wristbands daily
On Sunday, you have the chance to see hawks and owls up close. From 11am until 3pm, there is the hawk and owl show going on at Richmond Nature Park (11851 Westminster Hwy, Richmond). Admission is by donation, so why not take the chance to get to see those wonderful animals from a closer distance?
And if you want to be a bit active, you should join the event Bike the Blossoms. It’s a free cycling event which is part of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. The starting point is at Trout Lake and the end is at Queen Elizabeth Park. The 10 to 12km route is taking you through the streets where the most beautiful cherry blossom trees are at. The event is from 11am until 1pm, bring your own bike or rent one from MOBI from the local station.
I hope you have tons of fun this weekend. See you all at our Dutchie for a Day event on Saturday!
