PuB NiGHT Review: Mahony & Sons

Yesterday, it was time to cross a new pub off of our list: Mahony & Sons! Although the location was pretty difficult to find, the view on the water was breathtaking. When we went inside, we saw four tables with ‘reserved’ signs on them. That’s us! We sat down and ordered our first beers; we were ready for another great PuB NiGHT.

27932182587_2aaab1d4e6_nThis time, no bingo or trivia was involved (so no free drinks, unfortunately), but this left plenty of room for us to talk to one another. Since we just returned from a great weekend in Portland, our impressions and experiences of the city were highly discussed. One of our favorite memories: the food. We had amazing lunches at ‘Stretch the Noodle’ and ‘the Whole Bowl,’ two of the many food carts in town. However, the food highlight was undoubtedly the waffle-maker in the hotel.

After reminiscing about our trip, we talked about the biggest sports event that is currently taking place: the FIFA World Cup. Sorry to all you soccer fans, but soccer is not on my list of interests. But hey, my country did not even make it to the World Cup, so I think you would understand why I would rather watch Netflix. A couple of drinks and rounds of storytelling later, it was almost midnight already. Since I did not get that much sleep the last few days, I decided to head home.

I had a great evening and I think Mahony & Sons is definitely a place to revisit some other time.

I hope you all enjoyed PuB NiGHT! See you on Saturday for the hike at Lynn Canyon Park!
