After finishing work it was time to go to Granville Island. I took a water taxi and spend some time enjoying the beautiful weather while walking around and take a look on the market. Fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, biscuits…I got the impressions, that there is nothing you can’t buy! This was also the chance to buy the first souvenirs. Afterwards I had some diner in the Sandbar Restaurant. It was delicious! This was definitely not a bad start of the weekend.
Unfortunately the weather changes completely on Saturday. This is why I preferred to stay at home and spend some time with my homestay guys. There is nothing interesting to tell about, this is why I prefer to tell you something about my last Saturday: I went out for a whale watching trip! At first I was a bit concerned about the weather conditions. It was cloudy and it looked like rain. Lucky me! Sitting on a boat and enjoy the rain and watch some whales, sounds worse than sitting on a boat, being dry and watch some whales! 😀 However, everything was fine and after some seals and see-lions, I saw three humpback whales. It was awesome!! Unbelievable how giant they are!
Back in the harbour I was really happy have done this trip. Beautiful day!
Time to get back to the last weekend. The Sunday was about using my brain while solving difficult riddles in the escape room! Together, with seven other participants we went to Smartypantz Escape and we tried to solve the Dreammaker. It was very hard to do all the stuff in just 45 min, but it was pure fun for everybody!
