What to do on the weekend

It is finally Friday and it only takes a few more hours till we finally can enjoy the weekend. If you don’t have any plans for the weekend yet, then check out this blogpost for some inspiration!

36466811465_3540120658_oOn Sunday the INTERNeX gang is going to explore Stanley Park by bike. By doing this, we can cover more ground, which means that we will be able to see more of Stanley Park. Besides that you will finally experience Vancouver in the most Dutch way!

If you rather do sports, then the KitsFest is the place to be! This is a 3 day sports festival taking place in Kitsilano. You can do yoga, volleyball, water polo, basketball and many other sports. Besides that there is also a DJ playing music throughout the day. The festival starts today and will take place till Sunday.

You can also watch the great baseball team of Vancouver, the Vancouver Canadians. They will have a match against Everett Aquasox at the Nat Bailey Stadium. If you are not able to get a ticket anymore, then you can also watch the game in one of the sports bars in Vancouver.

This weekend is the opening weekend of PNE. The whole weekend you are able to get in for only $1.50 if you wear red or a Canadian maple leaf and arrive between 11 AM and 1 PM. Normally PNE is pretty expensive, so by going this weekend you will save quite some money. There are also shows, vendor markets and live music, so it is definitely worth checking out!

I hope to see you all at the Stanley Park bike ride!

INTERNeX Canada: Smart Saver Vancouver – Vancouver Inspiration Pass

This week’s smart saver is a good one, I must say!

So you’ve always wanted to visit the Vancouver Aquarium, the Science World, or perhaps, listen to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, or watch the Vancouver Opera… but of course, the bummer is that everything costs money!

It might not seem pricey at first, but as some of you may have found, spending money in Vancouver is pretty easy to do.

The Vancouver Inspiration Pass is for those who want to explore the city and go to all those popular attractions and events, all for FREE!  To get this pass, follow these two simple steps:

  1. All you have to do is first sign up for a Vancouver Library Card which you can either do online here, or at one of the Vancouver Public Library branches.
  2. Then, using your library card, you can check out the Vancouver Inspiration Pass (like you would do with a book) for TWO weeks! This pass gives you general admission or concert tickets to any of these activities for free during that period of time.

That sounds like an awesome deal, right?

For more information, go to the website HERE. Happy exploring!

Cheers,

Queenie

INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

We expected a full water fun weekend doing Rafting at Chilliwack, unfortunately it was cancelled but of course it doesn’t mean to stay at home! A weekend in Vancouver is not enough time for enjoying all the attractions that this city offers!

Saturday a bunch of people went to Capilano to see the Suspension Bridge! Have you ever been there? Well, the place, like the most all the places in Vancouver, was absolutely amazing! The bad thing was that it was plenty of tourists! There was a line for waiting to walk across the bridge! Sometimes it seemed like we were in the train station in the rush hour! There were other bridges and attractions in the area and we took a lot of typical tourist pictures!

At least we had fun and we can always say that we´ve been in Capilano Suspension Bridge!

At Saturday Night is always mandatory to go out! Sleep a couple hours and spend the day doing sightseen is not a problem! Important stuff like going out goes first! We finished our day at The Pint dancing a little bit!

Sunday was quiter! I went to night market in Chinatown where there were typical Chinese thing and music in live! It was curious!

Whatever you want to do, do it! And please invite us to join you! 🙂

Happy week everybody!

Cheers

Irene
