PuB NiGHT Review: The Yagger’s

Shine bright like a diamond it is Thursday! I hope everyone is feeling great after last night. Once again we had a great pub night with awesome people. Wednesdays are one of the highlights of the week for me because I love to spend time with a big INTERNeX gang and find out how everyone is doing. Let’s see how our last night went.img_20190411_160416-e1555024066260.jpg

This week it was time to try out the Yagger’s downtown. It is located at West Pender Street in a fairly central location. The night started at 8pm as usual and not too soon after that our tables were full of INTERNeX people. We also had some new peeps joining our gang this weeks and it was great to see some of them at the Pub Night. All in all we stayed at the Yagger’s for a couple of hours, had some drinks, food, and great conversations.dav

After the Yagger’s we continued the night at, you could say our regular after party place, The Yale. Everyone was hyped about the Bull that you can ride there. Too bad for us the bull was not working last night, so we had to manage without it, and that’s exactly what we did. Once again we surrounded the pool table and had some games against each other. It is a good practise since we are playing pool pretty much every week al though I feel like I’ve just became worst every single week. Maybe some day I’ll be a pro too.

Thanks for everyone who showed up and thanks for a great night!

How was your weekend?

I hope Monday has treated you well. At least the weather has been treating us very well through the whole weekend. Let’s do a little recap of what happened during these sunny days.

This weekend was a pretty chill one for me. On Friday we spent the night chilling with some friends. We made delicious dinner together and started the night of by playing some beer pong. We also checked this one veteran bar called The Legion where you can find pretty cheap drinks (just saying).

On Saturday I headed to White Rock to visit my friend. White Rock is located right next to the US border and it is pretty cool since you can literally see to the States while standing on a beach in Canada. Once again we enjoyed an amazing sunset at the beach. Yes I really am a big fan of sunsets.

Sunday it was time to gather up the INTERNeX gang and head out to play some Laser Tag! We played two rounds all together and I must say I did not expect it to be as sweaty as it was. It really was a work out. Especially in our first round when we had about 30 kids playing with us and running around like crazy. The second round was luckily a bit calmer since we had some adults playing with us. In the second round our gang was also divided into two different groups so we had the chance to compete against each other. Not mentioning who won and who didn’t but my team did play pretty well 😉

Big thanks to everyone who showed up. This week we have a lot of things coming up so make sure to stay tuned!

First things first, PuB NiGHT this Wednesday @ The Two Parrots!

PuB NiGHT Review: The Beaver Bar

Last night was very eventful. We started our PuB NiGHT off at the Beaver Bar, which is located right in the centre of downtown at Granville St. The INTERNeX gang was well presented as 20 of us in total showed up. Since everyone was having a blast we didn’t want the night to end so some of us continued the night at the Met.image.png

On Wednesdays the Beaver has a bingo night and at least I was super excited about it because I haven’t been playing bingo since I can remember. The Canucks were playing last night and the game was showed at the bar so we needed to wait for the game to end before the bingo could start. The end of the game was really good tho so we didn’t mind waiting for a bit. After the Canucks took the win with the score of 7-4 it was time for the Music Bingo. We all got our own Bingo sheets and we were ready to start. Last night the INTERNeX gang was feeling super lucky and we did not only win once but twice!

After three rounds of Bingo we decided to change the bar. Some of us went home and about half still continued to the Met. I had never been there before so it was nice to see some new places. As weird as it sounds I’d say the time we spent at the Met was somehow really active. First we played some table tennis sadly ending up loosing all the Ping-Pong balls. The Met has Karaoke so of course we had to take a part of that too. We also played some pool and Lukas even played one round of Flipper.

We really took everything out of last night and now it is time to turn our heads towards the upcoming events. This weekend we are visiting the Vancouver Fashion week which I am super excited about! There will also be more information about the amazing Rockies trip coming soon.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, enjoy the sunny day!

PuB NiGHT review: 131 Water

Last night we had a pub night right next to the famous steam clock in Gastown (and yes we stopped to take some touristy pics with it). 131 Water was a really comfy bar and we were lucky to have the whole second floor to ourselves.

img_20190313_202539-e1552602704645.jpg

The bar had plenty of board games that you can play but we were too busy chatting with each other so no games this time. It was my second pub night here in Vancouver so I met a lot of new faces. For some of us it even was the first one but thankfully the INTERNeX gang is very welcoming. It was great to see how the new faces blended in the group so well.

In case you haven’t experienced any pub nights yet now is the time to start! It’s never too late to join but let me tell you that you are missing out every time you decide not to come. The big group of us had so many discussions last night and I think everyone made some new friends.

I was sad to hear that so many of you are leaving soon and won’t be able to take part in our amazing trip to the Rocky Mountains (yes there is a trip coming, yes it’s happening soon, yes I will tell more information later). Let me just say that this trip is something you definitely do not want to miss.

Thank you everyone who participated last night! The ones of you who are coming to Seattle I’ll see you on Sunday!

PuB NiGHT Review: Beaver Bar

One more and we’ll have Bingo. We just need Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song and we’ll be saved from the bad luck we faced tonight. The next song starts to play… ♪ “We come from the land of ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow” ♪ Wait… That’s the song! BINGO!

40674780400_90cdc6f611_nPuB NiGHT at the Beaver Bar meant it was time for Bingo again! Dauber in hand, everyone was ready to play at 9pm sharp. First round: normal Bingo. Fun, but of course less exciting than singing along to songs. A few rounds of normal Bingo and non-existing wins later, it was time for music Bingo. We sang along to many great throwback songs, including Beyoncé’s Halo, Paramore’s crushcrushcrush and The Jackson 5’s I Want You Back. During this round we had more luck. Felix had Bingo and won a pitcher of beer! Congrats Felix!

When the Bingo ended, it was time to get back to our conversations. You know, about tasting different kinds of chocolate at work and spotting bears in the forest. Just the regular. Most of us went home around 12:30am, others still had energy to release and went to the karaoke bar.

I had a great evening with you all! See you this Sunday at the Trampoline Park!
