INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

Another week at the office starts today. But before we start, let’s take a look on the awesome weekend we had.

On Saturday we went to the Lynn Canyon Park in North-Vancouver.  We started hiking around 11am in the morning. In this park you can do some nice hikes. We saw waterfalls, bridges, fast flowing rivers, great views and of course the famous suspension bridge.

After a few minutes walking we went down to the river. The water was to cold for swimming, but with our shoes off we could climb to some of the big rocks. From there we took our shoes back on and continued our hike. Minutes later we arrived at the 30 foot pool. This is one of the main attractions of Lynn. It’s is a small canyon with some amazing blue and deep water.

Via a lot of stairs we came on a higher point. From there we hiked through the forest to the last thing on our list: the Twinn Falls. This is another waterfall you can visit (from the same river).
At the start point we took some lunch and enjoyed the (dry) weather. After the lunch we took the bus or bike back to our homes! Thanks for coming, we had a fantastic day with all of you!

Yesterday was also a busy day for me. I rented a car for one day to make a small roadtrip. First we went to Whistler, north of Vancouver. On our way we stopped at some awesome waterfalls. From Whistler we drove further north till we arrived at Pemberton. The temperature was amazing: 31 degrees Celsius! There was a small lake where some of us took a swim.

After a nice and full day of sightseeing is was time to go home. First we had some dinner in Squamish. After that we drove via the Sea to Sky highway back to (a rainy) Vancouver. I can recommend this trip to everybody; just rent a car and enjoy!

Have a great week,

Jelle

INTERNeX Canada: Picture of the week

Have you crossed a suspension bridge? INTERNeX went to Lynn Canyon last Sunday and we had the opportunity to get this photo of Jenny, one of our candidates crossing it!

It is awesome, isn´t it?

Don´t miss the opportunity of joining us in all the events we have planned for you!

Cheers,

INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

This weekend was like the most of the weekend in Vancouver a non-stop weekend!

Saturday was Lies’ farewell! Lately the most of the girls of the PR team are coming back to their houses! Lies will be the last one in leaving us and she wanted to say good bye organizing a farewell party in her place!

Farewells are always fun but sad, you enjoy because it can be the last time you see that person and you don´t have time to waste but it´s so sad to say” goodbye” and not a “see you tomorrow”!

Sunday a bunch of INTERNeX people went to Lynn Canyon! The place was like the most of the parks of this city, amazing!  We crossed a suspension bridge; we walked around some trail until we arrived to a natural swimming pool where some people jumped from different and highs rocks!  It was so crazy to see that! The place was plenty of rocks! A bad fall would become a real tragedy!  But in the time we were there, everybody was having fun, jumping or just looking how the people jumped in that incredible place!

After the park we came back to the civilization and have lunch/dinner (in Spain eating something before nine is not dinner!) to recover some energy!

Thanks for the people that came yesterday! Visiting amazing places are always better with good company!

Cheers,

Irene

INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

We expected a full water fun weekend doing Rafting at Chilliwack, unfortunately it was cancelled but of course it doesn’t mean to stay at home! A weekend in Vancouver is not enough time for enjoying all the attractions that this city offers!

Saturday a bunch of people went to Capilano to see the Suspension Bridge! Have you ever been there? Well, the place, like the most all the places in Vancouver, was absolutely amazing! The bad thing was that it was plenty of tourists! There was a line for waiting to walk across the bridge! Sometimes it seemed like we were in the train station in the rush hour! There were other bridges and attractions in the area and we took a lot of typical tourist pictures!

At least we had fun and we can always say that we´ve been in Capilano Suspension Bridge!

At Saturday Night is always mandatory to go out! Sleep a couple hours and spend the day doing sightseen is not a problem! Important stuff like going out goes first! We finished our day at The Pint dancing a little bit!

Sunday was quiter! I went to night market in Chinatown where there were typical Chinese thing and music in live! It was curious!

Whatever you want to do, do it! And please invite us to join you! 🙂

Happy week everybody!

Cheers

Irene

INTERNeX Canada: Picture of the week

Today Petra would like to share a beautiful picture with you guys! Petra just arrived in Canada and she made already lots of beautiful pictures!

I took this picture on Thursday when I was walking towards downtown Vancouver. The view was so amazing and I just needed to take the picture. I love how the sun shines on the skyscrapers and how the boats look in the harbour. This is my first real visit to Vancouver and I find it beautiful that you are able to see the mountains so close to the city. When you would walk on Granville street bridge on a day without clouds the mountains are just so close that you can see the snow on top. I am looking forward to finding out more about this beautiful city.

I would like to thank Petra for sharing this beautiful picture with us!

Do you have a beautiful, funny, interesting picture? Yes? Then send it to us, because you can win awesome prizes, and we might post your picture as ‘picture of the week’!

Cheers, Lydia
