How was your weekend?

It’s Monday again which means that the weekend is already over. But since my weekend was so much fun, I would like to look back on it one more time with all of you guys! So if you want to know what I did this weekend than keep on reading!

My weekend started off on Friday when we decided to play a really fun game at the office called Zombies. When we were done with the game I met up with Roslyn to grab some food at The Pint before going to her and Linda’s Birthday Party in 131 Water.

Once we all arrived in the pub we played Card Against Humanity, which is always a lot of fun. After a couple drinks and some food we decided to continue our night at The Bourbon where we had some more drinks.

Since it was a long night on Friday I woke up pretty late on Saturday and watched some Netflix before it was time for me to get ready to grab some dinner and go to the Christmas Karaoke Trolley tour. Once I finished my sushi dinner we met up with all the other INTERNeX candidates at Canada Place where our tour started. We first visited Bright Nights at Stanley Park, drove past Hycroft Manor and St. Paul Hospital and finished our tour at the VanDusen Botenical garden.

On our way to all these amazing destinations we sang a lot of Christmas Songs like “All I Want For Christmas Is You” “ Last Christmas” “Let it Snow” and many more. The Christmas Lights at VanDusen and Stanley Park were really pretty and impressing. At VanDusen we all enjoyed a Hot Chocolate or Mulled Wine.

When the tour ended we decided to go to The Blarney Stone where a live band was playing some music and after a couple of drinks we went with some people to The Bourbon to proceed the party there.

On Sunday I slept in and visited David at Horseshoe Bay at night and after he was done with work we went to downtown to the Yale Saloon for a drink. It was a lot of fun since they had karaoke night there and you all know how much we love karaoke.

Thank you all for joining us for the Christmas Karaoke Trolley Tour and we hope to see you all at the next PuB NiGHT in The Charles Bar!

What to do this weekend?

Jingle Bells, jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! All I want for Christmas is you. Walking in a winter wonderland. Here you go. Just some suggestions you can sing during the Christmas Karaoke Trolley Tour this tomorrow. Yes, that’s right! Tomorrow is the big day. Wonder what else is happening this weekend? No worries, I got you. Find out in this blog.

24623828_1645556255491479_182680653_oThe doors of the ice-skating rink have been opened. Go to Robson Square to enjoy some ice-skating. It’s free! You can bring your own skates or rent them there. From Wednesday on until Christmas there is a life act performance every day. So even another fun reason to go there.

For the people who are not joining the Christmas Karaoke Trolley, maybe it is fun to go to the places where we make our stop. You can go for example to Stanley Park for the Bright Nights event. Enjoy the many Christmas lights and miniature train rides. We also make a stop at the Festival of Lights at the VanDusen Garden. Thousands of Christmas lights light up the Garden to create a wonderful winter wonderland.

I hope you have much fun with whatever you decide to do and for the people joining the Christmas Karaoke Trolley, warm up your voices, because we are going to rock!

Stanley Park Bright Nights

Hey everyone,

I hope that you all enjoyed your weekends! This weekend was super cold and all I really wanted to do was stay home, watch TV and sip tea in front of my fireplace. Lame I know! But my friends dragged me out of the house and took me to Stanley Park. I’m not sure if you guys have heard of this event but it’s called Stanley Park Bright Nights. This Christmas event has been running strong for the past twelve years and has been a part of many people’s holiday traditions. Even though I have been living in Vancouver for nearly nine years now this was the first time that I have ever attended this event. For only $8.00 you can ride a train throughout the Park that is completely transformed with millions of twinkling fairy lights. I had to really bundle up since the temperature was so low, but we were provided with hot chocolate, fresh popcorn and roasted chestnuts so it was a pretty cozy night. I am actually glad that my friends made me come and I highly recommend that you guys check it out, it’s very much worth it. Bright Nights will be running until January 2nd 2010, so if you can’t get to it before Christmas you still have a few extra days after.

Well got to run but keep checking out our INTERNeX blog and Facebook page for upcoming events around Vancouver.
