PuB NiGHT Announcement

Just when you got rested after the long weekend the next INTERNeX event shows up. You know why? Because we like hanging out with all of you too much! ♥ ♥

This week we will be meeting up at Malone’s at 19.00/19.30. Address: 608 West Pender Street.

On Wednesday’s West Trek organizes their Wolfpack reunion for the Rockies trip there and we are going to join them! Why you ask? Well, we just want you to get a glimpse of what this tour has to offer, and what a crazy amount of fun it will be to join this trip with INTERNeX.

There will be several guides whom you can ask everything you have always wanted to know about the tour and these famous mountains.

Not only will we be going to Malone’s because of the Rocky Mountains trip. Malone’s is a great place to meet up with friends and they serve good beers and food. This night there will be a burger and beer combo on special for only 15 (fifteen yea) bucks!! And from what we have heard, the burgers are finger licking good.

Anything else? Nope, that’s all. See you guys tomorrow!

Pub Night Annoucement

Hi Guys!

A new week has started and that means a new Pubnight is coming…of course! This week will be regular on Wednesday, 28th at 7.00 pm. Right in Downtown we meet at The Famous Warehouse. This Pub for known for its very good food, a great atmosphere for having some drinks and its super friendly service. The prices are in the normal area where nobody could complain about…

It is a ‘Famous’ spot for Candians and International studens as well!  So everybody NEED to check it out!!!!

Right on 989 Granville Street, next to all the clubs and very close to the Skytrain Station, it gives the perfect location so everybody could make it fast and easy. 🙂

We are really looking forward to see you there!!

Review: Pub Night @ The Railway Club

Yesterday we had another great Pub Night at the Railway Club.
It was not really what we expected there, because the menu was hand written and we had to figure out what was the meaning of all the dishes. So all of us took the burger because that was the only readable dish on the “menu card”. However the burger was pretty good and we all enjoyed it. Another weird thing was the self service bar. We always had to stand up to get some drinks, soooo exhausting…..At 9:30 a band started to play some live music, which wasn’t so bad actually.

Even though everything was kind of weird we had a lot of fun and the time went by so fast as we were chatting a lot. Finally it was already 11:30 pm.

At the moment we are planning a trip to Portland from the 14th to 16th of November. More information about prices and the activities included in this amazing trip will be given soon, so keep an eye on our blog for future activities

Before our next Pub Night on Wednesday we want to join the Vancouver International Film Festival for a movie. You’ll get further information soon.

Looking forward to our hockey game on Saturday. For those who didn’t get a ticket anymore, after the game we’ll go to the Cambie, so would be glad to meet you there.

Smart Saver

This week with our smart saver, we’re going with great food again!

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but for those who are not exactly early risers and don’t want to prepare their own stuff, we have found a super cheap offer. Subway is offering a $3 Breakfast Combo with a 6-inch breakfast sub and a coffee.

The Au Petit Cafe is a vietnamese restaurant, but offer $5 French-style sandwiches. Also their vietnamese food is pretty cheap. If you want to have a nice dinner with friends go to the La Taqueria. They’re offering tacos (which are awesome to share) for $2 (veggie) and $2.50 (beef). Check also out Wally’s Burger, their burgers are great, and huge! And the Deluxe Wally Burger, Wally Burger and Mushroom Swiss Burger are all $5 or less. But never forget the great “all food for $4.95” restaurants we have here in Vancouver. Those are the two different locations of the famous Warehouse and the dime, near Commercial Broadway. To be honest you should not eat anywhere else, their food is awesome and SO CHEAP, and they don’t only serve burgers and mac’n cheese but also healthy things from salads to quinoa. And they even make its cheaper! The dime offers 25ct wings on wednesdays (i’ve tried them, they’re delish!!) and at the famous warehouse they’re only 15ct! They also do an “all you can eat tacos tuesday” for $6.99.     So what are you waiting for?

Of course you need some refreshing dessert after this great meal. To save money why don’t you just make yourself an ice lolly out of you favourite juice or smoothy. You just need a small stick, fill your juice in a glass or even ice cube forms, put the stick in, freeze it and you have great ice cream which is nearly for free!

PuB Night Announcment

Tomorrow we’re having our PuB Night at the Darby’s. They’re located on Macdonald Street and 4th Ave, which is only about 5min walk away from different parks at the beach. So we can stay there until about quarter to 10 and then just head to the beach and we’ll be able to see the fireworks of the Celebration of Light because we’re just on the other side of the english bay.

They’re serving typical canadian food, from Poutine over Fish&Chips to Burgers or Salads and they offer more than 30 different beers.

You can get there with different busses. If you get off the Skytrain at Burrard Station you can take the busses 022, 044, 007,004 or 002 and get off at Macdonald& 4th Ave. (Macdonald&3rd Ave if you take the 022). We hope to get the change to sit outside at the patio, so bring a jacket or something, in case it gets colder during the evening.
