Yesterday we went to the Irish pub Blarney Stone for our weekly pub night. This evening Blarney Stone were inviting people to join in for their weekly Trivia Night. So what is a Trivia Night. Well, it’s quite simple. It’s a quiz in general common knowledge. So you really have to have a great knowledge within a lot of different subjects. We were questioned about everything from 80s and 90s music to the names American presidents and the most common ingredients on an Australian pizza. Not always all too easy but definitely very entertaining.
Even more funny was the heads or tails quiz. Very simple. A coin was flipped and those who were able to guess if it was going to be heads or tails would go to the next round. The winners would get the honour of… dancing in front of the rest of the onlooking crowd at the pub. Hilarious! And of course we also had a bit of something to drink and eat.

Last Saturday we went to Boo La La Costumes in North Vancouver to do the obligatory Halloween costume shopping. We met outside the store at 3pm. Inside the store was of course all kinds of crazy costumes… you could dress up as a superhero, a celebrity/an idol, a beer mug or even a dart board. There really was almost no limit to what you could wear for Halloween. Even the staff were wearing costumes and were painted in their faces trying to look scary. The staff members were really kind and helped us with any wishes or ideas that we had for our outfits. We had a lot of fun trying out different costumes before finally deciding on what to wear for Halloween. You can have a look at the hilarious pictures 
Yesterday we went to the pub the Irish Heather for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. We meet up inside the pub where we could take shelter from the pouring rain outside… Finally the rain came to Vancouver and the city lived up to its reputation as Raincouver. But the rain definitely didn’t take the good mood away from the crowd gathering inside the Irish Heather. Before getting seated we had the chance to have a little chat until the chef rang the bell and the dinner was served. Everybody was seated at one long table, which made it possible to have a chat with people you never met before.
The dinner was really great! It included mashed potatoes, and a pie stuffed with turkey and other kinds of nice fillings. And on top we also got beers specifically selected for the turkey dinner. Really nice to get some nice food in good company. It was good to hear that you guys are interested in the
