PuB NiGHT Review: The Lamplighter

“Bourbon Bingo!” is the motto of a Wednesday night at the Lamplighter. It definitely is the place to be. So, we decided that it was this weeks’ venue for the PuB NiGHT.
Bingo always promises a fun time and I can say we did,42944330991_890e2e4eb3_n even though no one from our group won anything. ☹

The music, even though it was quite retro, was very nice. Everybody could sing along and we really enjoyed the songs. As most of you know, I am just here since a few weeks now. So, it was my first time at The Lamplighter. I can tell you: You miss out on something if you never joined Wednesday’s Bingo night there.

Among us were some old faces, but we were also happy to see some new candidates. Unfortunately, it was not just time for “Hi’s,” but for some “Bye’s” as well. Three of our candidates had their last PuB NiGHT yesterday. 😦 So, flags with the red maple-leaf made their way through our group and a lot of signing was done.

philip-flag-pub-night-2018.jpgWhile we were chatting about all different kinds of topics (yes, the most important one is still the FIFA World Cup), our attention was taken over by the Weather Girls. To be clear: It was not them in person, but rather their song “It’s raining men”. This song got a bunch of guys on the table next to us going crazy and totally lose their shi(r)t. They were dancing and chanting along. They sort of felt the song more than anybody before – well, it at least sounded like that

I hope you had an awesome evening with us. I surely did!

Thanks for coming and make sure you join us on Saturday to celebrate Swedish Midsommar!

Experience IT review – Jericho Beach

Since the weather was so amazing this weekend we decided to have a relaxing day at the beach instead of paintballing. Thank you all for coming!

IMG_3887.JPGWe decided to go to Jericho Beach. This beach is a little further away from downtown and therefore way less busy then English Bay or Kitsilano Beach. It’s perfect if you just want to relax. If you don’t like the beach that much there is always the option to go lay in the park right next to the beach.

We spend most of our afternoon relaxing, listening to music and chatting, the way you should spend your day at the beach. Some of you where brave enough to go out for a swim and said the water was really nice. After we all got a little sunburned and tired from doing nothing all day, we decided it was time to go home and had to say our final goodbyes to Merle, as she left on Sunday.

I had a great day and I hope to see you all on PuB NiGHT!

Pub Night Review

Yesterday we had another great pub night at the Bismarck. The Bismarck is a cozy pub in Tinseltown, in the same mall as our office.

We met at 7pm in the pub and ordered our first round of drinks. It was nice to see how everyone started chatting with each other even when there are new people. We discussed our weekend plans and it seems like a lot of you guys are coming out to the kits beach on Saturday! It is going to be a beautiful sunny day, so it is more than worth it to come to the beach. We will also bring our volleyball and if you have any other beach sport/activities you are more than welcome to bring them along. We might want to make a stop at 4th avenue during our beach day to get some ice-cream, who doesn’t love ice cream?

We hope you all will enjoy the rest of the week and see you on Saturday!

PuB NiGHT Announcement

This week our weekly PuB NiGHT is on Tuesday the 15th of April (yes it’s a Tuesday :)). We decided to go to the pub called Moose’s Down Under located near the Pacific Center (830 West Pender St.) We will meet there, like always at 7:00 pm. The pub is a bit hard to find, you have to go downstairs in to the basement. It’s – like the name suggests – an Australian themed pub with a good selection of drinks and beers (so come and taste the great Aussie beers and typical food).

Moose’s is the place to be if you need a slice of Australia. We hope you all will join us for this last PuB NiGHT before the Rockies and we will – as always- have a great time eating, chatting and of course drinking. If you want to join the PuB NiGHT, please click here.

We wish you all a nice weekend and hope to see you all on Tuesday @the Moose’s Down Under 🙂

INTERNeX Canada: PuBNiGHT Review

Hello there,

Last night we had our weekly night in the pub. This time we went to a small pub named The Black Frog. It’s location, just 20 meters from the Steamclock in Gastown! Really easy to find 😉 The Black Frog is a warm feeling, and cozy pub, where you can drink Canadian beers, but also European ones. They have a lot of choices!

So the place was really nice. The drinks were fine (not cheap but also not expensive). We began our night around 7.30. They reserved a special place in the pub for us. We could sit on small couches with all the people.

This was a fun night. Already my third pub night, time flies here in Canada! I really liked to talk to everybody of you. It’s nice getting to know everybody by having a good chat!

When we left the place is was raining outside.. But that did not affect on the fun night we had with each other! First we ate a piece of pizza, then we took the bus back home.

So thanks for having fun with us last night guys.
We hope to see you again soon!

Best,

Jelle
