Picture of the week!

GO CANUCKS GO says this picture of the week. It is from Claudia, one of the PR-interns at INTERNeX and this is her story;

“Since I am living here in Vancouver I became a big fan of ice hockey and especially a fan of the Canucks!! Now that they are in the playoffs I watch every game. For me this is a bit strange, because where I am from, the Netherlands, we never watch ice hockey! This picture is taken on Granville Street after the Canucks kicked Chicago out of the game! The whole town was going crazy. All the cars were honking and people were screaming and dancing on the streets! It was a really special experience for me that night, that is why I want this to be the picture of the week! 🙂 We should all cheer for the Canucks on Thursday, so come to the Blarney Stone to watch the game!!”

If you think your picture is worth being the picture of the week, just send an email to pr@internexcanada.com.

Cheers,

How Was Your Weekend?

Hi people, I hope your weekend was as good as mine, because I had a great weekend! On Friday we went with some INTERNeXers to Malone’s to watch the Canucks play against the Chicago Hawks. We were in the bar already 2 hours before the game to make sure we had a spot to sit, however when we walked into the bar it was already packed!! Luckily we still got a spot at the bar in front of the big screen, so we could watch the game. It was an exciting game and OF COURSE the Canucks won with 4-3!! After the game, some of us went to a club and others went to another pub to celebrate the victory!!

On Saturday Elvera, Roy and I went to the Holland Store in New West Minister. We have all been here for quite a while now and now we start to miss the real typical Dutch food! In this store you can buy almost everything they sell in a normal Dutch supermarket, so Elvera, Roy and I were like kids in a candy store. We bought frikandellen (meat), ranja (squash), speculaas (cookies), Dutch tea, paprika flavored chips and more. So, for everyone who is Dutch or just loves Dutch food, you should really go there!

My weekend ended with a relaxing Sunday. I was just enjoying the weather and chilling in a quiet staffhouse, which is not really common if you live with 18 people ;).

What did you do in  your weekend? Tell us by leaving a comment! 🙂

Cheers,
Claudia

Join us for a real Canadian experience!

GO CANUCKS GO! There is a Canucks fever gripping the city, everyone is preparing for the playoffs. For people who don’t know who the Canucks are, it’s Vancouver’s icehockey team but here in Vancouver it’s almost a religion.

The playoffs are really important and exciting! The Chigaco Hawks beat the Vancouver Canucks already twice but this season the Canucks are better than ever. Will there be a chance that the Canucks win the championship this year?

To find out we need to see the games. It’s a real Canadian thing! The streets will be empty and the pubs crowed. You can’t miss this experience! We will go to the Malone’s, a real Canadian sports bar, on Friday the 15th of April to see the Hawks against the Canucks. The game starts at 7 pm, be on time to get a good seat. Malone’s has a pretty good and cheap food menu, so that you can enjoy the game with en burger and a beer ;).

See you Friday?

Cheers,

Your PR-team
