How was your weekend?

How my weekend was? Hmm.. I can’t decide which word describes this weekend the best: great, wonderful, awesome, perfect, gorgeous, fabulous, fantastic, spectacular or exceptionally good? At least I had a lot of fun, because this weekend was our trip to Kelowna. Oh, now I got your interest? Well, sit back and read all about our adventures in this beautiful city.

28080563_1888898747818262_1858428207_o1.jpgThe adventure started Friday at 12 pm at the Pacific Central Station. People showed up with their suitcases and bags to get in the bus. And there we go, a five-hour ride to Kelowna! We saw some beautiful views on our way. After a long sit we arrived in Kolowna. We dropped our stuff in our rooms and walked to this awesome steakhouse. One of the hardest decisions was: What are we going to eat? So many nice choices like burgers, chicken and ribs. When the hunger was gone and we finished our meals it was time to have a little party at the hotel. We played some fun games and, since it was carnival, we played some nice carnival music.

*BIEP BIEP BIEP* At 6:45 the alarm went of. Time for all the skiers and snowboarders to get some breakfast and prepare ourselves for a day in the snow. After one hour in the bus we arrived at the Big White. In the lift to the top we realized how beautiful the view is from there. A sky as blue as a millionaire’s swimming pool. We went down a lot of times from different slopes. The area was very big, so we could do every time a different slope to see them all. The trials where not crowded at all, so many times we had the mountain for ourselves. We ended the day with a beer during the après ski next to the campfire. Then it was time for us to take the bus back to our hotel. We had a little time to prepare ourselves for another dinner and night out. This time we went to an Asian restaurant next to the hotel. Also here we enjoyed some delicious food. We decided to taste our wines we bought at the wine tasting tour and do another fun game before going to Sapphire, the biggest club in Kelowna. A 00’s party was going with a DJ who played all our classic sing-alongs.

27990347_1888900691151401_1024515969_oRise and shine, a new day has arrived. We woke up fresh and energetic to start the day with a boost. Ok, maybe not, but at least we stood up to have breakfast. When the rooms were clean and the luggage was packed, we took the bus to Kelowna downtown. In the city we did the scavenger hunt game. The groups had to do as many fun assignments as possible to get points. So we proposed, hugged, fished, danced and so on. After three hours, we met at the bus again to get our luggage and go home. This time we could enjoy a bus ride for 7 hours. Since we did not sleep that much this weekend, we could catch some sleep during the ride.

It was really great to hear that all of you had a great time! And so did we! Thanks to you, it was a really nice weekend. If you did not went on this trip, I am happy to tell you all about it tomorrow at PuB NiGHT in the Lamplighter. See you then!

How was your weekend?

Friday 9 pm. We were sitting in the park. Waiting for the party to begin. Only ten minutes left. Our tickets work, we are in. The party can start. That was the moment my weekend could finally begin.

This Friday we went to DubVision, a party in the Harbour Event Centre. DubVision is a DJ duo from the Netherlands. We went in with our free tickets we received. When we walked in around 11:30 pm, the club was still not that crowded. We bought a drink and the club was becoming more crowded. There were two DJs playing nice music, but we still don’t know if that were guys or girls. There was another DJ playing music before DubVision was on stage. After a couple hours we went home.

Rise and shine, next day has arrived. After all the stuff I needed to do, we went to the sushi bar to eat sushi together. Afterwards we took the skytrain to Granville street where the pub crawl began. We first went to the Cinema Public House, where we began the night with a drink. After 45 minutes it was time to go to the Morrissey, where we sat on the couch singing German songs. So now we had the Oktoberfest part from the pub crawl. We went to Donnellans where we had our own space with tables and bar. We closed the night in the club Belmont Bar. After we danced our asses of, it was time to say goodbye.

Sunday was a lazy day. We went to a jazz thing in a church. After 30 minutes we saw it all, so we decided to go for a coffee at Take Five. Tip: the coffee with Caramel and Sea salt is actually salty. We sat and talked till it was time to go home for dinner. Hope your weekend was great as well.

See you at PuB NiGHT!

PuB & CluB NiGHT Review

Last Friday it was time for another PuB & CluB NiGHT and sadly also time to say Goodbye to Danie. We all met us at 7:00 pm at The Cambie ordered some food and of course some drinks, especially some Pitchers of beer for the beginning.

The weather on Friday was really nice, everyone was in a good mood so everything was ready for a great party.  We had a lot of fun together, talked about what we did during the week and what we are going to do on the upcoming weekend including Canada Day on Tuesday, some of us were really lucky because they had a long weekend until Wednesday. So we laughed a lot, had nice conversations, some good drinks and even another great PuB & CluB NiGHT.

So unfortunately it was Danie’s last PuB NiGHT and even the last day as practicum student for INTERNeX. We all said her ‘Goodbye’, which was really sad, and wished her the best for the future and a nice travel along the West Coast. For sure some of us will still keep on touch with Danie.

Hope to see you guys at one of the upcoming events. On Sunday we going to play Paintball in North Vancouver, don’t miss it!

Pub & Club Night Review

Friday we had another great PuB & Club NiGHT!! The pub Pint was really cosy and we all had a lot of fun. This was a great night to meet a lot of people. We all started of with pitchers or highballs to make us all loosen up to the music which got us all in the moods for the Club. The club kept our feet moving to the beat and danced the night away. Once people started to loosen up, they started to break out their awesome moves on the dance floor. All in all, a crazy night! Thank you all for sharing this amazing night with us. We can not wait for the next time.

However if you missed it do not worry this week we are going to have another change to meet new people, go to a different part of the city and learn another new pub. This Wednesday it’s time for the Bismarck

We hope you had also an awesome time and we will see you all on Wednesday @ the Bismarck for our PuB NiGHT.

PuB & Club NiGHT Announcement

This weekend, we will have a Pub & Club Night! This means that we will not have a pub night tonight! We will meet on Friday night the 23rd of May at 7:00pm for a few drinks, and tons of fun. So join us to enjoy a really nice evening with the INTERNeX community in one of the most famous bars of Vancouver.

The chosen place this time is The Pint, one of the best places in Downtown to be on Friday, because the Pub will get to an Club around 10:00pm. Also it is always full of young people and with good music. The Pint is located at 455 Abbott Street. The Pint is home to 40 different sauces and dry rubs to cover wings and ribs in. They also have 40+ HDTVs for all the games of the Canucks, Lions and Whitecaps. The Pint has some pretty good deals if you want to go for a hungover Brunch on a weekend or holiday. Please keep in mind that the Pub is 19+ and bring two pieces of ID’s.
