No New Kids on the Blog

As the time is coming closer to Christmas, we don’t have any new arrivals to welcome in our group for this week.
But we do have very exciting events ahead of us and a fantastic group to enjoy those with. Starting with tonights Pub-Night in the beloved Yale Saloon. As this only became a tradition this summer, this might be the perfect ending for the last Pub-Night of the year. So let’s get on that bull and show of once again. Apperently, Jager-Bombs are on special tonight… that’s all I am saying guys!

Furthermore we are finally going skiing this weekend. As last week had to be cancelled because of the unfortunate conditions, I cannot wait to finally get in that snow. IMG_4962.jpg
In our Facebook event you’ll find all the information needed, as well as the link to get your day pass for Grouse Mountain.
As there has been issues with selecting Saturdays ticket, you might only be able to get your ticket on the Mountain on Saturday.
If you didn’t rent equipment yet, you might want to consider Yes rental (https://yescycle.com/ski-snowboard-equipment-rental/) as they also sell Mountain Passes!

If you do have questions or storage issues, please don’t hesitate to message us.

See you all tonight!

Cheers,

How was your Weekend?

Time to start the week again with another Monday. How was everyones weekend?

Looking back at the week I had, it was my very first week in the INTERNeX office and it was busy but I enjoyed it. Nadja has been showing me the ropes and hopefully I can plan some fun activities this winter :). Friday I went on a lovely hike with my homestay friend Nathalie and we went to the Lynn Canyon Park and got some instagram worthy shots. For the afternoon I would take it easy as I had a big week in the office so I ordered Chinese food and watched The Greatest Showman.

Sunday, as most of you guys would know, we went Ice Skating at Robson Square and I would highly recommend to do it if you missed out as its only $5 to hire skates and that’s all you have to pay. For some it was muscle memory, for others it was easy and for me it was neither. Watching everyone do tricks had me thinking of doing some…. all I did was think of doing tricks and I fell over HAHA… after a few snow ball fights we then warmed up with some hot chocolate we moved to the Christmas Markets. The best thing about traveling with a group is all about sharing moments and maybe food too 🙂 haha. We all enjoyed the live music, the tiny pancake lady and the incredible food that the market had to offer. I bought a season pass so I will be going there for dinner sometime this week or maybe a few times this week 🙂 .79429660_2707828832614287_6919065831364100096_n

Surprisingly this weekend didn’t end in fireball shots which I’m low-key happy about (Last weekend was rough).

Thank you all for the great weekend and I will see you all at the Yale Saloon for our PuB Night Wednesday Night.

5 more weeks till Christmas

People decorating their houses, Starbucks pulling up the Christmas coffee editions and stressed out people running around trying to get some last minute Christmas-presents … yes THIS time of the year is already closer than you think. Only five more weeks to go!

christmaspartyinsta.pngAnd especially this year, Christmas is going to be something absolutely different for all of us. Usually this is the time to spent with your family and your loved ones back home. But now we are here, far away from the places we grew up in.
What a great thing, we have each other in this beautiful time of the year. Because all of us are sitting in the same boat here. And the INTERNeX crew has been doing so many great things this year, so many adventures we went on and so many Pub-Nights we got to spent together. We got to know great people and friendships for a lifetime were made. We are so lucky to have people around supporting us in all of this.
I do not want to sound too cheesy, but sounds like we’ve been growing together to a great substitute family in a way.

And this is the reason, why we would like to host a very special Christmas Party this year!

On the 18th December we are going to get together at the INTERNeX Office. We will try to make the place look as cozy and christmasy as possible. Everyone is more than welcome to bring some food and drinks (after all it’s still supposed to be a party right?!) to share with the rest of the group. Whatever you are craving, just bring it along and I am sure together we will manage to pull off an amazing Christmas dinner.

And what would Christmas be without presents?!
We are gonna have a secret Santa later that night. So please bring something small (value $5-$15ish) for someone else. As this is a secret Santa, you won’t know who is getting your present and who’s present you will receive. Just keep this in mind while you go out hunting for the perfect little gift.
If you need any more information, make sure to take a look at our Facebook page and don’t be shy to use the ‘going’ button, as this will make it a lot easier to plan everything! Of course you are always welcome to message us in case there are any further question.

Can’t wait to celebrate with you guys!
Let’s make it a beautiful Christmas together.

Cheers,

—Nadja
