This Saturday: LUCKY KARAOKE NIGHT!

Hello Party people!
How is everyone doing? Are you guys excited for the LUCKY KARAOKE NIGHT this Saturday at the INTERNeX Staff House? It will be a night full of fun with karaoke and some amazing food from all over the world, because of the Pot Luck we will be having. So, just as a reminder, we would like everyone to bring one dish as a pair. It would be amazing if you could bring something that is from your own country, but you don’t have to, of course.
We will take care of the karaoke machine, but to cover all the expenses we would like to ask you to bring just $ 2 to the staff house! That would be awesome!!
It will be a great party this Saturday and I heard that a lot of people are coming!! The parties in the Staff House are legendary, so you don’t want to miss this! The Karaoke night will start at 7pm and don’t forget to bring your own booze!

If you would like to join this LUCKY KARAOKE NIGHT, please send an email with your name to pr@internexcanada.com before 4pm on Thursday 10th of February. Feel free to bring some friends, but just let us know with whom and with how many you are coming. If you send us an email we will send you the exact address of the Staff House.

INTERNeX Pot Luck July 17!

After the success of last month’s PotLuck we are organizing another PotLuck Party! Join other INTERNeX participants on July 17 for a PotLuck! Come to the Staffhouse at 6.30 pm and join in the fun!

For those of you that don’t know what a PotLuck is, all the more reason to come and join us! A potluck is when people come together and each person brings a dish of food with them to share with the rest of the group. Since we have so many people from different cultures, this is a perfect way to experience what kind of food people eat in other countries.

Last time someone made a amazing Goulash, a popular dish in eastern Europe! Other highlights were homemade Icecream, pancakes and apple crumble. Let’s see if we can top these dishes with a spectacular dish from your home country! For pictures from the last potluck, click here!

Great Food At INTERNeX Pot Luck

Yesterday’s Pot luck at the INTERNeX Staff House was a huge success!  A Pot Luck Party consists of everyone preparing a dish and bringing it with them.  Because there are many people living in the house, this meant that the kitchen was very busy all day with people preparing their dish.

We arranged the dining room with one long table so everybody could sit together. Because we started out a bit later than planned, everybody was very hungry. As soon as the meals were put on the table, everyone started eating!

You would have thought the house was a five star restaurant. Each dish was amazing! In total there were about 12 to choose from. The homemade Goulash in particular was a huge hit with everyone. Goulash is a Hungarian stew with beef, onions, vegetables, spices and paprika powder. Another dish everyone couldn’t wait to try was the camel and kangaroo meat. Some of the other dishes that were prepared were: spaghetti with meat sauce, pasta salad, roasted potatoes with rosemary and Frittata – an egg-based dish with ingredients such as cheese, spinach, and vegetables.

In addition to all of these wonderful dishes, we also had people who cooked something popular to their country. There was paella from Spain and a German dish called Kaese Spatzle, which is similar to Canadian macaroni and cheese.

Even though everyone was pretty full from all the delicious meals, no one wanted to miss out on dessert. With desserts such as red fruit crumble and pancakes, everyone could really enjoy themselves. But perhaps the biggest hit of the evening was the homemade chocolate chip ice cream! For the people who wanted a healthier dessert there was also a delicious homemade fruit salad.

It was the first time that we organized a Pot Luck but I certainly hope it won’t be the last one! The evening was filled with fun conversation and good food!  We got to know some new people, which is always good.  Of course we made lots of pictures during the evening. Missed out on the Potluck?  Not to worry, INTERNeX organizes lots of events were you can meet new people. On Thursday June 10^th we will be holding a PuB NiGHT at the Blarney Stone. Hope to see you there!

INTERNeX Pot Luck June 6!

Since last weekend’s barbecue went so well, INTERNeX has decided to use food once more to bring people together! Join other INTERNeX participants on June 6 for a Potluck dinner! Come to the INTERNeX house around 6:30 p.m., and join in on the fun! This will be a relaxing evening featuring a nice dinner party.

If you don’t know what a potluck is, then you need to participate! A potluck is a gathering of people where each person contributes a dish of food to be shared among the group. This is a great way to show your cultural background, so bring a dish that best represents your country! It will be a fun way to teach others about where you’re from and learn about other people too! After all, food is a way that cultural groups express their way of living!
