Review: Distillery tour& tasting

Yesterday we went to the Liberty Distillery on Granville Island to get a tour through their distillery and a tasting of the spirits they produce.

The distillery only opened about 7 months ago and they are only working with local suppliers, which is pretty cool. Since the tour started a little late we already had some cocktails in their attached tasting room. Afterwards our tour guide showed us the distillery and explained every of their steps. They are producing vodka, gin and some kind of whisky. She showed us the different steps to produce each spirit and all the machinery they need. She as well gave us a small tasting of each of the spirits, which some of us liked better than others. (3 shots of different spirits just after lunch time were kind of hard to take)

After the tasting all of us had another cocktail outside and some even bought small bottles of what we just tasted.  We were lucky it didn’t rain anymore after ww were finished and so we used the chance were finished and so we used the chance to have a nice walk over Granville Island and enjoyed the rest of the sunday.

Hope all of you have a great start in this week and we see you on wednesday at the PuB Night.

P.S. Our office will not be opened on 1st of August, which is the friday before the long weekend.

Distillery tour& tasting

This weekend we have the chance to take part in a tour through one of Vancouvers great distilleries, so we are going to postpone our trip to the grouse grind to another weekend. But don’t worry if you wanted to join us to our grouse grind hike, we will do it in a few weeks, on the weekend of the 9th of august.

However the tour on sunday will be in the Liberty Distillery on Granville Island. The distillery just opened in 2013 and is famous for their hand crafted spirits. We will have a ~40min tour through their distillery to see how they work and get their distillation process explained. Afterwards there will be a tasting for those people of age.

The tour will start at 1pm, and will be $10/ per person. Since we have to be there about 15min before the tour starts we are going to meet at 12.15 pm at the bus stop of line 50 towards “50 S. False Creek Via Granville Isl.”  WB Water St FS Abbott St. Please be in time, because the bus is leaving a few minutes later.

Please sign up on our event until friday if you want to join us.

Hope many of you will join us for this fun event!!
