PuB NiGHT Review: The Lamp Lighter

“BOURBON BINGO!” We only had the chance to yell that once. Lucky Saskia won a free pitcher of beer. Despite of not winning other prices, we had so much fun doing the bingo.

The Lamp Lighter is a nice big pub in the heart of Gastown. Every Wednesday they organise a free bourbon bingo where you can win a lot of prizes, like beers, shots and gift cards. They play a lot of nice music and you can request songs at the DJ as well.

We were happy to see a lot of people showing up and all our reserved tables were filled. We continued the night at the karaoke bar, where we sang great surprise songs like Scatman. Thank you for that, I will remember it. See you this Sunday at the Halloween parade at Granville Street.

Review: PuB NiGHT at Central City Brew

Thank you all for joining PuB NiGHT yesterday at Central City Brew. We were happy to see a lot of new faces at the PuB NiGHT. The night was better than the quality of the pictures we made, but that does not say a thing. Sorry about that.

Did anyone try the Surprise Beer as well? For only 5 dollar, you get the surprise beer of the week. I don’t know what it was, but it was delicious (and cheap). I am glad we had the whole couch area for ourselves. This was definitely a good pub for the PuB NiGHT, so maybe we will come back here one day.

After a couple drinks, the pub was closing. The lights went on, so we had to go. We decided to continue the evening in the Met. Of course we sang some songs and played some pool. The DJ wanted us to close the night with a last song, so of course we sang a last song before going home.

INTERNeX Canada: Picture of the week!

This picture of the week was taken at our Pub and Club night at the Pint on Friday! It was a huge party with so many people who gathered that night. It was a special event since it was Maike, Jildau, and Tam Ara’s going away party and of course it was a hockey game night in Vancouver! We also had a guest from Westtrek who gave us a one day ticket to either Whistler or Seattle, so we decided to do a draw. And the winner was Queenie! Later during the night, the DJ came on and we all went up to the dance floor. Everyone showed off their dancing moves, and I got to say, some were so hilarious! Overall, the night was a huge success 🙂

INTERNeX networking reception – First of June 2011

What does INTERNeX do?
INTERNeX International Exchange is an international company that specializes in assisting international students, graduates, and young professionals interested in coming to Canada from around the world to organize work, internships, and accommodation placements that fulfill their personal and professional goals.

Why is INTERNeX holding a networking party?
NAFSA, with nearly 10.000 members, is the world’s largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education and will be held in Vancouver from the 29^th of May until the 3rd of June 2011. During that time more than 8.000 university associates out of the educational sector will come to Vancouver. Due to the NAFSA fair INTERNeX is organizing a social networking event/ party for our business partners and university associates from all over the world, to get in contact and enjoy the evening together!

The networking event:
The party will take place in the Blarney Stone, the coziest Irish Pub in Vancouver; in gastown. During the INTERNeX networking event around 200 to 300 university associates will be present. The event will be different to all other receptions which will take place that week in Vancouver!
It will not be a short formal event with presentations only, lasting for 2 hours!
The INTERNeX networking party will be a casual, entertaining and fun event, which will last the whole night finishing at 3 am in the morning! The venue, the Blarney Stone is almost the only one in Vancouver open until that time!
Free drinks and free food will be handed out to all of our guests!
A live band and a DJ will make sure to no one will just sit bored in the corner, holding just a drink in their hands.
Stop being boring, bee creative and inventive. Became a part of the event!
It will be a wicked networking event! Different from what you have seen so far! More exciting stuff will be happing that night. Liston…: That is still a secret!
