Smart Saver

Time to safe some money because it’s Sundaaaay again which means smart saver time.

Vancouver Art Gallery on Tuesday evening

From 5 pm to 9 pm every Tuesday, you’re able to enjoy the exciting exhibition inside the Vancouver Art Gallery just by donation. The Vancouver Art Gallery is the fifth-largest Art Gallery in Canada and the largest in Western Canada. If you’re lucky you’re able to see some really cool art by an influential artist. If not  you can just walk around and try to understand what the work of art wants to tell you. But however it’s just a donation you have to pay to get in.
Get further information here.

BCMC Trail

If you already hiked the Grouse Grind you know how it feels to walk behind a slow, sweating mass of people who talk loudly and smell like ….whatever. But there is a way to avoid all those people by hiking the BCMC trail which runs parallel to the Grouse Grind. It’s almost the same, but less steps and less people. You know what is the best? You’re also able to walk down the mountain, if you don’t want to pay $10 for the way back down with the gondola. So go out hike the BCMC trail up and down ( even though it maybe kills your knees) and safe some money.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a great week.

Smart Saver

It’s Sunday again and that means of course SMART SAVER TIME! This time we found some Thrift stores for you, where you can save a lot of money. One of my favourite is the Thrift store called Wildlife and the store is located 1295 Granville Street (near the Granville Bridge). Check out the website from the Wildlife store 🙂

At the Thrift store you can find really cheap things such as cloth, jewellery or furniture. And the best thing is if you by something you donate a charity organization as well. Have a look and maybe you find amazing things there.

Of course there are some more Thrift stores here in Vancouver, most of them are on Main Street and Commercial.

Have fun on your next shopping day 🙂

INTERNeX Canada: Smart Save Vancouver

Ok, all the people know, Vancouver is an expensive city. But with our “Smart Saver” guide, you can take notes about our little tips to keep your budget safe.

We have prepared for you a cultural issue… not all in Vancouver is only beautiful landscapes… this city has a wide range of museums and arts galleries. So, today: Admission by donation to the Vancouver Art Gallery! It’s not free but almost free.

The Vancouver Art Gallery is one of the most important art centers in the city, in fact, the largest gallery in Western Canada. Not enough important? Well, maybe you don’t know that the territory of Western Canada is more than twice as large as the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal combined. A spacious lawn area surrounds it, and is a meeting point at the same time. There, take place a lot of gatherings like flash mobs, the Zombie-Walk and the Critical Mass.

There are a lot of exhibition to see, however, there is one that you have to visit before leave Vancouver: “Art SpiegelmanCO-MIX: A Retrospective of Comics, Graphics and Scraps”. Art Spiegelman is the author of probably, the most famous comic nowadays:  MAUS, the history about a Holocaust survivor. This book was the first graphic novel to win a Pulitzer Prize. Sounds amazing, not? You can visit it until June 9, 2013.

  • WHEN: every Tuesday, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
  • WHERE: 750 Hornby St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2H7, MAP.

Enjoy!

Clara.
