PuB NIGHT review

On Friday we had an awesome Pub&Club Night @ The Cambies. We met at 8:30pm and the pub was pretty full, but we were lucky and had a table just for us and the guy, who loved to share his fake teeth with us 😉

 
The Cambies is one of the famous pubs around Vancouver and furthermore you have the possibility to watch baseball and other sports on the TV screen – and of course: HOCKEY!

On Friday the Canucks had a game against Minnesota. The Canucks didn’t have the best of days –they lost 2:1! Hence, please don’t worry if you didn’t watch the game!

 

 

Some of us ordered food especially fries and we had some pitcher of beer. We stayed at the Cambies till they closed, so we had a great time out.

INTERNeX Canada: PuB NiGHT Announcement

People under 19, pay attention, because tomorrow we will be gathering at The Hastings Warehouse. This restaurant- pub is famous because of its cheap menu and the atmosphere it´s super chil ! So if you are 18, don´t worry, and come with us because you’ll be able to enjoy with us and meet new people!

You’ll be wondering what are the prices like, so I just have to tell you this: on the menu, everything is $5. 

Yeah, as you heard! With $5 you can take an hamburger with fries,  a salad, nachos, desserts or much more. I think that’s reason enough to head with us to the Hastings warehouse !

INTERNeX Canada: Fun Facts

This month’s big trip to Victoria is coming up very soon!  We are all very excited to visit the Province’s capital, so our fun fact for this week is about Victoria!

Victoria is home to one of the best places to eat in all of the country!  It is an outdoor waterfront eatery that serves delicious dishes from an up-cycled cargo container right on a wooden pier in Victoria’s Inner Harbour.  So what’s so special about this place, besides the fact that of its national reputation of tasty, sustainable seafood?  Did you know that the owner of this joint was a contestant on this season of Top Chef Canada?  The very fact this chef made it as a competitor amongst the best chefs in all of Canada, is proof enough that Red Fish Blue Fish is worth grabbing a bite at.

News: Charlie Sheen’s getting replaced!

You will probably all know, one of the most famous sitcoms in the world, Two and a half Men! This show has been on the television for quite a while now. The star from the show, Charlie Sheen, has been famously fired during a fight with his producer about his behavior on and off set. He is not capable of running the show anymore since he is an alcoholic and a drug addict. After he got fired, the producers stopped the show and Charlie Sheen got kicked out of the show for good.

However, because the show is so popular the ‘Two and a Half Men’-crew had to search for a worthy follower of Charlie Sheen. They contacted tons of famous people, even Hugh Grant was asked to replace Charlie Sheen, but he turned the offer down. Now it’s finally official: Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen in ‘Two and a Half Men’. Ashton says: “I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes. I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!” Ashton Kutcher himself possibly delivered a clue by sending out this tweet: ‘What’s the square root of 6.25? The answer is 2.5’.

We just have to wait a little bit more, before we can enjoy our favorite show again. In the Staffhouse people love this program, so we are definitely glad it won’t disappear from the Television forever! 😀

INTERNeX QuiZ NiGHT Review!

Yesterday we had our INTERNeX Quiz NiGHT at the Moose’s Down Under sponsored by Taxback.com! The night started at 8 pm, when slowly the candidates were coming into the bar. When everyone was there, we started to divide everyone into teams. All the teams had to come up with their own team name. My team name was for example: Denemex (Denmark, Netherlands and Mexico). When all the teams were ready we started the quiz! The first round was the picture round – we had a paper with famous people and we had to write down their names on the answer sheet. The second round was ‘general knowledge’. The third round was a movie round with only questions about well-known movies. Finally, the last round was all about music! The questions weren’t easy, but we were battling for an amazing price – 150 dollar bar tap!!

While the jury was counting the points, we were discussing all the questions and we having a nice chat with each other. After a few minutes they were ready to announce the winner! The winners of the $150 dollar bar tap are….. Christian, Bart, Roy and Elvera!! Congratulations to you all, you deserved to win with 43 points!

It was a really nice PuB NiGHT last night and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!! We will see everyone next Wednesday again :D. If you would like to see more pictures that were taken yesterday, go to our Flickr-account.
