Review Elbow Room and FlyOver Canada

Last Saturday we went to the Elbow Room Cafe on Davie Street to enjoy a lovely Canadian brunch. And nice it was! It took quite a bit before we could finally sit down because it was so busy and we were a big group. But not after too long we had two long tables next to each other and it fit perfectly fine. Awesome to see everyone come out to join us!

After we sat down we ordered and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee or a gigantic milkshake (kudos for those shakes!)As soon as our food came in everyone stopped talking and silence took over, the expressions on your faces showed quite some contentment! That food must’ve been great, ours was for sure!

The food just looked amazing! There were pancakes as thick as two waffles on top of each other and amazing scrambled and poached eggs with hash browns! We were told that the staff from the Elbow Room is quite unusual and they like to insult people. However, our experience was that they were super nice to us! Apparently they liked us!

As soon as we finished our food we decided to pay and head over to Canada Place for the FlyOver Canada. But wait! Before we headed for Canada Place we quickly went by Blenz coffee to say hi to one of our friends, who joined us later!

It seemed like we all needed that stroll down to Canada Place as our stomachs were just too full! As soon as we arrived there we soon noticed that there was an anime convention going on. Interesting to see everyone dress up as their favourite cosplayer.

We got our tickets and then walked to the entrance of the FlyOver Canada, only to discover that there was a one hour wait! It must have been worth it, we thought, so we queued up and the wait started. Then, when it was finally time to enter the attraction we were first shown a movie, which was meant as introductory movie, followed by the real FlyOver. We sat down in the benches, buckled up and the experience started! Feet dangling down we virtually flew over Canada, from East coast to West coast. It was intense! It looked so real and we could hear ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ everywhere around us. Scents were released to make the experience more intense and we could even feel the wind and the mist.

Unfortunately, it only took 8 minutes, which was quite short, but awesome nonetheless.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and we hope to see you all on Wednesday for a few games of LASER TAG!

What to do on the weekend

Finally Fridaaaaay again!!! Let’s see what we can do on the weekend…

What about a walk to the Burnaby Mountain?
The Burnaby Mountain gives you an amazing view over Vancouver and Downtown. You can get there with the bus number 145 from the Sky Train Station: Production Way University Station. Have a look at the map here. I really recommend you to go there if the weather is not too bad.

On Saturday, October 25, you should join us for the FlyOver Canada. After a Halloween pre-show the film takes you on a thrilling journey from east to west across Canada. By special effects like wind, mist and scents combine with the ride movement you’ll get an incredible experience. You’re going to see some of Canada’s most spectacular locations for only $17.80. And honestly, it really seems like you are there in that moment, it’s amazing!!
And of course don’t forget to see me off at the airport on Saturday!! HAHA, I’m just kidding:D

Otherwise just get ready for Halloween and don’t forget to sign up for the great Halloween Party at Blarney Stone. Dress up in your fancy Halloween costumes and then let’s dance the night away for only $10🙂

Have a great weekend!!! Gonna miss you guys!
