How was your weekend?

Yet another great weekend is behind us. I was glad to see so many of you guys joining our events during these past days. Let’s look more into the things we did with the INTERNeX gang.

The weekend kicked off with an awesome Game Night at our INTERNeX office. A lot of people showed up for the Game Night and it almost got crowded at the office. We played a lot of different games like Pictionary, Apples to Apples and Cards Against Humanity, to name some. The night started around 6pm and almost didn’t end. Finally around midnight we managed to put the games back in their places and continued the night to somewhere else. This time we decided to go to the Pint, which is located right across the street from the International Village Mall. It was pretty convenient location for us. There we continued the party on the dance floor for a couple of more hours.IMG_20190407_201957.jpg

We ended the weekend with an evening trying to escape some crazy Escape Rooms at Locked Canada. There were 18 of us in total participating. We were divided into three different groups for three different Escape Room themes. Two of our groups managed two escape and I guess one group is still trying to find their way out. The theme we did with my team was the scariest one and I can tell you that it sure was scary. After we escaped the other teams told us that they’ve heard us screaming every now and then. I think we might go to the Locked Canada again some time soon since everyone enjoyed this event so much.

This week’s PuB NiGHT will be @ The Yagger’s Downtown at 8pm, see ya there!

What to do on the weekend?

Most wanted time of the week is here and we have some plans made up for you guys. This weekend is a bit special one since we are organizing two different events. I hope everyone can find something they like out of this weekend ☺

A one must go event is happening already tonight. It is time to see who is the competitive one, who wants to win and who is a bad looser. It is time to test our friendships and see who has luck (or skills) in games tonight. So what time is it? It’s Game Night time of course! We will start the Game Night at the INTERNeX office around 6pm. If you can’t make it till then don’t worry, you can join whenever you feel like it. We will have a blast for sure and might continue the night somewhere after.

On Sunday we are doing something I’m super excited for. The INTERNeX gang is going to Escape Room! There is a huge group of us going and we are doing three different rooms. Lets see who gets out first (or if anyone). Some of the rooms are scarier than others and I chose to go to the scariest one where you actually start the game with your one hand handcuffed into the wall. I’d say scary and exciting. We’ll see how I feel about it after Sunday. For the Escape Room people: We will meet at the Locked Canada 1050 Kingsway at 6.45 pm. Please be on time since the rooms won’t wait.

Enjoy your weekend and hope to see many of you guys tonight!

How was your weekend?

And it is Monday again! Wow, that weekend passed by quickly. Before we are preparing our backpacks for our trip to Kelowna next weekend, I will tell you what I experienced in the last days.

My weekend started off Friday afternoon, when the office was suddenly full of enthusiastic people, ready for our game night. We laughed a lot about the creative inputs while playing “What do you meme?” and “Pictionary”. The game “Boys vs. Girls” showed which gender has the best skills. Hot discussions and tricky challenges later the winner was clear (girls, of course). The international mall was already empty, when we changed our location to Blarney Stone’s to enjoy some drinks and live music.

The next day started early, but with a nice surprise: it did not rain! So, we took the opportunity to explore the nature around Vancouver. Half an hour in the bus and 20 minutes on the ferry later, we arrived on Bowen Island. This island pictures exactly what I had in mind when thinking about British Columbia before I travelled to Canada. We hiked around a lake for three hours, enjoyed the amazing views and took hundred of pictures.

Trees, ferns, mountains, sdrwaterfalls, squirrels – we have seen all what you can expect from a proper nature day. We deserveda good lunch after this active day, so we visited a cute restaurant in the small village on the island. It got already dark again, when we arrived back in Vancouver. What a great day! I am still surprised how easily you can escape the busy city life here.

My Sunday morning began with breakfast, before it was time to depart to the pub. To a pub on Sunday midday? Yes, Super Bowl it was. Of course, I did not want to miss this received_10213862331466114American sports highlight when I had the chance to see it in the middle of the day. Many of you showed up at the Malone’s to see the game, the 7-minutes Justin Timberlake half-time show or to have a good reason to drink beer on a Sunday afternoon. Some of us even joined the game of chance the pub organised, but no one was lucky enough to win. Nevertheless, it was really fun to follow the spectacle with you. So, what team are we supporting next Sunday?!

I hope you also had a great weekend. See you all on Wednesday for our PuBNiGHT at the Beaver Bar!

Thank god it’s Friday!

The work week is almost over and were all glad that weekend is coming. Friday is great because you can relax or do something fun. Remember that there won’t be an alarm ringing the next morning! Don’t know what to do on Friday night? I made a list for you 🙂

– For cheap fun;
1. Call some friends and have a potluck night. Ask everyone to bring some food to share and get some ice cream.
2.Game night! You can also do it after the potluck night. Write down a lot of movies, songs, and book titles and play charades.

– Experience your city;
1.Go online and find out what’s going on in your city. Try out a club with live music or go to a comedy night. You can relax after a busy work week and they will entertain you.

– Go crazy on Friday night
1. Karaoke!  Just sing the stress away. There will be a karaoke bar in your city and if you don’t want to go out, there are a lot karaoke games for the playstation, nintendo & Xbox.
2. Go out! If you rather dance than sing, just go to a bar where no one knows you can go crazy as much as you want to.

-Me-time
1.Do you want to be alone on Friday night? Take a nice bath, put on some music and maybe drink a beer or a glass of wine. Good way to relax!
2. Skype night. depens on the time difference ofcourse. Some of us are far away from their family, so take the whole night to update everyone.
3. Enjoy your hobby. Spend the whole night on your hobby. Think about sports, baking, build small airplanes etc.

Ofcourse there are more ways to spend the Friday night. Please feel free to leave a comment with your idea!
