PuB Night Announcement

Hi party people!

Yes you have guessed it right, it is time for our weekly INTERNeX pub night. Since the success of our last club night at ‘the Cellar” we decided it is time to explore a new club again, so this time we are heading off to Lamplighter and Shine Nightclub!

Meet up time is 8.30pm at ‘the Lamplighter’. With its cosy and relaxed atmosphere the bar is the perfect place to start. What more is that there is good music, pool tables and a few specials. At around 10.20pm we will take off to ‘Shine nightclub’. This club has a really great reputation in British Columbia:

“Vancouver’s Sexiest Nightclub.” – Flare Magazine
“Hot Spot.” – Fashion Magazine

English Bay

Coming from a little town in Ontario, I’m still getting used to the amount of activities available in British Columbia.  Where I lived, downtown consisted of a gas station, one grocery store and an arena. I absolutely love that everything is at your doorstep here in Vancouver!

On Friday, I went out to the Blarney Stone in Gas Town, where people danced the night away to Irish music and enjoyed the company of good friends. I had a really good night there and think I’ll go back soon!

Not wanting to waste a minute, I woke up Saturday morning and hustled downtown. The shops on Robson Street were whispering to me… “Look at the nice shoes I have,” …”Come in, you need some new clothes Laura.” Needless to say, I  ended up with many shopping bags in my hand by noon that day!

Sunday I went to the Vancouver Lookout with Jan, who found an internship through INTERNeX and just flew in from Germany. I think he will like Vancouver a lot! After taking the bus home, around 6 p.m I had dinner. However,  I still wasn’t ready to let the weekend end.

I had always heard that English Bay was a nice place to watch the sunset, so off I went! I arrived around 8:20 p.m., where many other people had also gathered to take in the view. English Bay is the downtown core’s most populated beach – attractive to people of all ages. If you haven’t been there yet, I suggest you go! Bring a friend and a frisbee, there’s lots of space to run around.

Here are a few pictures I took, beautiful isn’t it?

Hope you get the chance to see the sunset at English Bay. If you’re an early riser, I’m sure the sunrise is just as beautiful!

Bye for now,

Laura
