INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

And it’s Monday again! This weekend went really fast for me. Maybe because of the rain showers all days.. However, let’s talk about the weekend!

On Saturday we organised the Champions League Final in The Blarney Stone. Because of the time difference with Europe we had to watch around noon.
Despite the rain a lot of people turn up! We ordered some beers and some food. The match was played on the LARGEST SCREEN of Vancouver. Like a 7 meter HD wide screen!

So the match began and we’re all excited! It was a really intense game with a lot of changes for both sides. In the first half everybody was complaining about Arjen Robben.. He had a few good changes to shoot Bayern in front but he missed all of these! In the second half he made it all good. First a assist for the opening goal. After that a penalty for Dortmund followed so the match was 1-1. Till the end of the match everybody thought about a draw and extra time, penalties?

But, 88 min (no Bayern fan will ever forget this moment!) Arjen Robben passed the ball underneath the goalie of Dortmund and made himself the (Dutch) matchwinner!
The whole place was going crazy (except some Dortmund fans of course). We drank another beer for this victory and had a great afternoon!

Thank you for all the amazing people that turned up. I enjoyed every minute on Saturday. Hopefully you did the same! By the way. Sorry for the Dortmund fans. I’m writing this as a Bayern fan. 😉

Cheers

Jelle

INTERNeX Canada: Highlights of the week

Hello! Would you like to take a look to the most remarkable things that have happened? Here you have our brightest post: Highlights of the week!

Well, maybe the most important thing that happened this week was that I’ve seen my first raccoon!

Not, it’s only a joke. The most important event that happens is that our new PR has arrived. His name is Jelle, a difficult word to pronounce for two wonderful Spanish girls like Mercedes and I. The first day we only could say something like “Yellow” but we are very smart and now everything is OK. Jelle is a 21 years old student from The Netherlands. He lives in Enkhuizen, a small city close to Amsterdam. He studied graphic design but now he’s studying International Tourism Management. Welcome! Welkom!

Other important day in our lives: last Wednesday, we went to The Railway Club, and we had a nice evening drinking and talking about the differences between Germans, Spanish and Dutch people. I’m delighted about that all the Germans say to me that the Spanish language sounds very well!

And Today… Richmond Go-Kart! We are right now going to Richmond to have a lot of fun! So I hope all of you are with us! If not, I recommend you to take a look to our blog frequently because we are working in a lot of amazing surprises!

And that’s all my friends! Have a good weekend!

Kisses,

Clara.

INTERNeX Canada: Casual goodbye friday!

It’s time to say goodbye…again…

Christian, our ginger German is leaving us to travel around  America before coming back to Germany definitely, Mati our young and crazy German girl is traveling too ( South America be ready for this crazy Germans) and our beautiful Marianne is going to Panorama.

It seems like Denmark will win Germany in our pub nights and activities…

I have met so many people here during my 5 months (Oh god already 5 months here) and every single person has something positive and special to offer you. Thank you Christian for everything, I am so glad that you join and enjoy our activities; thank you Mati for being there as well, and show the world how someone with just 19 years old can conquer the world.

But today is the last day of my beer lover Marianne! I can’t believe she won’t here at the office anymore!

She is just a hurricane of energy! She is extremely outgoing and her character catch the attention of everybody, but that’s something natural in her, she’s just special; she doesn’t need to do anything weird or fake to be the center of the miracles. She is a natural leader with a brilliant professional future, I am more than sure! It was my pleasure to have her during 3 months at the office!

But not just the office, it was a pleasure to have you as my friend, hang out with her, all the liters of beer, diet coke or vodka, the insane Whistler… Everything!!You are a great colleague, a great friend and a great person. Thank you for this time!

I know that you are going to have the time of your life working in the Rockies (or the Purcell… ahha) but we definitely miss you!  And I’m sure not just in the office, all our candidates as well!

You are an example of the woman of this century! Intelligent, hardworking, funny, and not that ugly eh haha!

There are always good things waiting for the good people (you can call it karma, but that’s true) so just enjoy as you always do!

Wish you the best, you deserve it! Love you!

The best of all, is to share special moments with special people! Love u girls!

Cheers,

Irene
