Thank God It’s Friday!

It is Friday again, which normally means: WEEKEND. However, today it is Good Friday, so probably some of you have a day off today! Easter is also right around the corner – it falls on Sunday April 24. So what are you going to do this Easter Weekend? Here are some tips for the people who have no plans yet!

VANCOUVER

Who doesn’t want to celebrate Easter with the Easter bunny, Easter egg hunts and all sorts of games? Maybe it is not for everyone, however if you would like to get the real Easter feeling, you should go to Stanley Park and celebrate ‘Easter in the park’. There will be an Easter egg hunt for all ages. Also, they will have a train riding on the park’s famous miniature railway. This event starts today (Friday April 22) and runs until Monday, April 25th. It starts at 11 am till 4 pm. It will probably be quite sunny this Saturday, so it will be a good day to go the park anyway :D. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket!

WHISTLER

We have already post about this last weekend, however the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival is still running until this weekend. This year the TWSSF will celebrate its sweet sixteen and they will do it in style. It’s a really big event full of snowboarding, skiing, snow, partying and fun! Their main slogan is: ‘‘Party in April, Sleep in May’. Live it, breathe it, believe it. The festival started April 15 and the last day of the festival will be this Sunday the 24th.

REVELSTOKE

For the sporty people under us in Revelstoke, there is the Annual Stoke to Spoke Race. This is a triathlon involving snowboarding or skiing, biking and navigating an obstacle course to the finish line. When reached the finish line they will have to chug a beverage. This annual race has been held to celebrate the transition from winter to spring. You can compete either as individual or in teams of three. Of course there are also prizes to win, for the top three finishers in solo and team categories, along with best costume and best wipeout, and also the oldest and youngest competitors.
The festival starts at 8.30 am and will end around 4 pm. Go and cheer for the participants or just enjoy the live music by Cornstarr.

Hopefully everyone will enjoy their (long) weekend! Let me know what you are going to do this weekend? Or if you have any tips for the other candidates please share them with us by leaving a comment :D.

Have a good weekend everyone and Happy Easter to you all!

Cheers,
Claudia

TORONTO
The JUNOs are here! The JUNOs are the Canadian Music Awards and they are held in Toronto! The red carpet rolls out Sunday, and even if you don’t have a ticket to the awards show, there’s still tons of events and concerts you can check out this weekend.

It’s Earth Hour Saturday night from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Torontonians are encouraged to turn off all non-essential electronic devices for an hour. Locations around town are offering candlelit dinners and activities, so you’ll have some options when the lights go out.
