It’s a see you soon

Today is my last day at INTERNeX, sadly. I started here 7 months ago, unbelievable how fast the time went. I had an amazing time here at INTERNeX and I loved meeting all of you!

_MG_5191On one of my first weekends we went to Whistler, such a great trip. I spoke to so many new and kind faces. The moment I saw backcomb mountain I knew I had to go back and I did, three amazing times! The next trip we did with INTERNeX was for sure one of my favorites, our trip to the rockies. This trip blew my mind and was far above my expectations! If you didn’t go yet to the rockies it is for sure a must do! Stop by the office to get more information about the beautiful rocky trips. After the rockies I couldn’t wait for our next trip, the Tofino trip! What a beautiful place, another must do for the ones who weren’t there yet (ps: great spot to learn surfing). Back in Vancouver the next trip was already planned, a white water rafting x camping trip! Once again A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We had a lovely camp fire till late in the night and the next morning we went rafting, which was a great and fun experience. My last trip was in July were we went to Victoria, another stunning place in Canada.

I learnt so much during my internship and I want to thank Tim for giving me this opportunity. Also I want to thank all of you, wherever you are, for making my time in Canada the best time! I hope to see you one more time tonight at the library square!

Cheers, Auf Wiedersehen and tot snel

New practicum student

My name is Selina and I’m the new practicum student of the INTERNeX -PR Team for the next 6 weeks, until 8th of August.

I am 22 years old and from a city near Stuttgart in southern Germany.

Back home in Germany I am studying economics at the DHBW and I am working for a software consultancy, but here I will join the PR Team and get to know the work in a totally different branch, which I am really looking forward to. While I am here, I will help planning all the great events that we have during the next weeks and I hope to meet all of you there.

This is my first time in Canada, but I used to live in Santa Barbara, California for the last 3 months, so I already got an impression of North America and especially Vancouver seems to be such a nice city with all this great nature nearby.
After my time here at INTERNeX, I will be travelling down the west coast and visiting most of the cities there as well as Las Vegas and Hawaii.

I will be planning my first PuB NIGHT for Wednesday next week and I hope to meet some of you there and that we will have lots of fun together during the next 6 weeks.

Cheers,

Selina

Time to say goodbye…

Today it’s my last day at the INTERNeX office and I will end my 18-week internship at INTERNeX. Also that’s gonna be my final blog and I want to thank everybody for this awesome time here in Vancouver. During my 18-week internship I did awesome trips and activities but of course I also learned a lot of things, which are useful for my studies back home. That’s why I want to say a big THANK YOU to Tim and Simon. And of course thank you to Alexandra, Ole and well how can I forget him CRAZY Alex, you guys made my days in the office 🙂

During my time here in Vancouver I saw a lot’s of amazing places such as Whistler, the breathtaking Rockies, the surfer’s paradise Tofino and had an adventure trip to Chilliwack for White Water Rafting. Also the hike’s here around Vancouver are amazing, the Chief, Bowen Island and of course the Grouse Grind, which you have to do while you here in Vancouver.

It will be really strange to leave Vancouver, because right now it’s like a second home for me. All the amazing people I met here made this time one of my best expierences so far.  After my holidays in the USA I will start my last year at the Hochschule Munich but I’m motivated and ready to go for this last year and afterwards of course I start traveling to see more from the world.

I want to say thanks and good-bye to everyone who I met during my stay here, I had one of the best 18-weeks here, THANK YOU!!

Goodbye, Auf wiedersehen, Servus, Pfi’a de 🙂

Cheers,

Danie

INTERNeX Canada: New Practicum Student

Introducing to you our new practicum student at INTERNeX in Vancouver, Ole!!

Hey guys,

my name is Ole and I’m a new intern at INTERNeX in Vancouver and part of the PR-team for the next four weeks.  I’m 21 years old, from a small city in Northern Germany which is called Nordenham.  The last years I did my apprenticeship as an office manager, but now I decided to study tourism.

This is my first time in Canada, but I already got a lot of impressive and exciting impressions of Canada because I already arrived one month ago. I really love this country and their people, especially Vancouver. I have never seen a big city like Vancouver which is so close to this amazing nature.

At INTERNeX I am working in the PR Department, so I will be planning the upcoming events like the weekly pub nights or other trips. I will also keep you updated on every social media platforms of INTERNeX about upcoming events and further helpful information like the  ‘Smart Saver’.

I am looking forward to meet all of you at one of the upcoming events and having fun together.

Cheers, Ole

INTERNeX Canada: New Intern

My name is Daniela but everybody calls me Danie. I am the new PR Coordinator at INTE

RNeX for the next 4,5 months. I am born in Munich (Germany) where I also study Tourism Management. I always love to be aboard for example I lived one year in Australia and I really enjoyed it. When I have time during my term breaks I also travel to different places and learn something about new cultures. I never been to Canada before so the internship at INTERNeX is a great opportunity to connect for me both: to learn about a new culture and to engross my knowledge by practical application.

Here at INTERNeX I will be working in the PR Department which means I will be planning events, such as the weekly PuB NiGHTS, trips and other events. I will keep you updated on our social media, so don’t forget to follow, subscribe or like us. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

I am looking forward to meet all you guys on our events.

Cheers

Danie

Alexandra – The new PR Coordinator at INTERNeX Canada

My name is Alexandra and I’m the new PR Coordinator at INTERNeX for the following seven months, so you will hear a lot from me. I am born in Germany, but lived since 21 years in The Netherlands where I also study International Leisure Management.

Over the past years, whenever I had the time and money, I traveled through Europe, met new people and new cultures, made unforgettable experiences and grew as a person. However the chance to travel outside of Europe never really came up, so when I got the chance to go to Vancouver for my placement there was no way that I wasn’t going.

Here at INTERNeX I will be working in the PR Department which means I will be planning events, such as the weekly PuB NiGHTS, trips and other events. I will keep you updated on our social media, so don’t forget to follow, subscribe or like us. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

I’m looking forward to the next couple of months here in Vancouver and to meet you all on Wednesday at our PuB NiGHT!

Cheers,

Alexandra

INTERNeX Canada: Annika says “Hello there”

Hello there

My name is Annika Wäsche and I started work here at INTERNeX right after Labor Day; which is a fitting metaphor , I guess. For the next few months I am going to be part of the PR team and already feel very welcome by my colleagues. After all they immediately noticed, accepted and supported my urgent need for coffee.

For the last year, I participated in the master’s program ‘North American Studies’ in Bonn, which is located in the Rhineland and part of my beloved Germany. So being an intern in one of the supposedly most beautiful cities in North America is exactly spot on for me.

Growing up at the Baltic Sea coast, then going abroad to the U.S. after school for some time, and going back to the middle of Germany to study… I am used to get around a bit and that is why I am looking so much forward to my stay here in Vancouver. Another part of the world to discover, new interesting people to meet and more experiences to last for a lifetime.

One of my hobbies is sports and having been in the U.S. for a while, I have to say that I love American football. I am sure that I will be heading to one or the other sports bar as soon as the season starts again. Maybe hockey will do the trick, too? I am excited to find out. Other than that, I also love a good book and having a nice evening out with some friends.

Right now, I am starting to discover Vancouver and we will probably meet at one of our upcoming events. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask; you will find me on Facebook.

I cannot wait to meet you all!

Annika
