INTERNeX Canada: PuB NiGHT Review!

Yesterday, we went to Steamworks for our weekly pub night! It was great because so many people came out (especially some who never have before). I guess they finally decided to join the dark side. But I’m sure it was also because of the Rockies trip! We were all so excited that we couldn’t stop talking about it. We discussed what to pack, what to bring, and how much were are going to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.

Life is so much better when you go out to drink during the week, isn’t it? Just wait until the Summer finally starts rolling in…with hot weather and gorgeous sunsets in Vancouver, you’ll be dying to come out to our pub nights every day!

Actually, there is another reason why I love our weekly pub nights. You get to know everyone a lot better at these events. The more time you share with that person, the more you’ll know about them.  These nights are for  personal stories, laughing together at funny jokes, and sharing great memories. It’s always a good time at INTERNeX pub nights and I also get learn so much about every one.  Who doesn’t want to be around these bunch of lovely people?

Thank you all for coming 😉

Cheers,

Flora

PuB NiGHT – Review!

Hello everybody,

How is everyone feeling today? Last night we had our weekly PuB NiGHT again. We started off at the Cambie with some drinks and really cheap pitchers for only $9! The PR-crew arranged two big tables, so that everyone had a spot in the pub. Candidates from all over the world were chatting, mingling and having a good time with each other. Around 9ish more and more candidates were joining us, so in no time the reserved table was already too small for our big group!
Because one of the INTERNeX candidates, Pascal, celebrated his birthday in the Joseph Richards, we decided to go as a group to the JR and party on! In the JR everyone was dancing and we even had some dance battles going on!  For all the picture of last night, go to our Flickr page!

We would like to apologize to some of the candidates, because the Cambie wouldn’t let all of us in. They have really strict rules about ID-cards (they HAVE to be in English), and therefore some of our INTERNeX candidates weren’t allowed in! We tried to talk to the manager about this, but it didn’t help. So, our apologies to those who couldn’t get in. We will make sure this won’t happen again.

We hope everyone enjoyed the Wednesday night PuB NiGHT once again! Thanks for coming and we will see you next Wednesday!!

Cheers,
Your PR-team

Grouse Grind Hike with INTERNeX!

With all of the rain we’ve been getting in Vancouver, I’ve been itching to get outside and enjoy the weather. If you’re in Vancouver, you know what I mean. Anyone is welcome to join Manouk and I tomorrow morning as we head to Grouse Mountain to hike their Grouse Grind trail. We will meet inside the Waterfront Station at 10 a.m. and take the sea bus to North Vancouver. From there we will hop on a bus that will take us straight to our destination.

What you will need:

  • Good hiking shoes / running shoes
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Bottle of Water
  • Packed lunch (optional)
  • Money ($10.00 Skyride down the mountain and bus fare OR 2 Zone bus pass)
  • Camera

The Skyride is optional, as you can hike back down the mountain. We can decide this once we get to the top, however the Skyride is a one-mile journey like no other.

High above towering Douglas firs, breathtaking views of the city of Vancouver, sparkling Pacific Ocean, Gulf Islands, and snowy peaks unfold as you journey up the mountainside. North America’s largest aerial tramway is your gateway to the majestic nature of the Peak of Vancouver, and an experience in itself.

Once we get to the top, there are many activities to do if we want to stay and have a few more hours of fun. They have :

You don’t have to bring a packed lunch, but it might be fun to have a little picnic at the top, it’s supposed to be beautiful out tomorrow. There is a few restaurants at the mountain and a Starbucks I believe if you want to buy food instead.

This will be a  fun adventure guys, hope to see you tomorrow at 10 a.m. outside the Waterfront Station!

Can’t make this activity? Join us for pub night at Metropole, June 23!

Cheers and have a great weekend

Laura
