PR-team Adventures

Since finding some sweet deals for you can be quite hard in Vancouver, we are changing our blogposts a bit. We are still aiming to find great offers for you with the Smart Saver Vancouver, but we will only post the blogposts every other week from now on. To still keep you entertained, we are going to post some of our adventures in Canada. Those can be some fun things we experience in the office, excited trips we have made, or just random but great stories we want to share with you guys! We are starting off with some pranks we pull in the office.

So Becky, our crazy English girl in the office, went on a little trip to Toronto. Although we missed her since it was so quiet without her in the office, we always like to pull a prank when people come back in the office again. Since she is so excited with geo-cashing, a sort of treasure hunt on the streets worldwide, we decided to make a Becky-cashing.
After some good stalking on Facebook, we found great faces of our lovely Becky. We made them smaller, printed them and placed them all over the office. There was a Becky in the microwave, one on the milk and a few between all the pictures on our picture wall. Yeah, good luck with finding those Becky.

For a more warming welcome, we made her a little treasure map. As soon shbeckytreasurehunte set step into the office, the hunt began. It was so funny to see how excited she was! Although she had a treasure map, she was almost too excited to see all her pretty faces and she missed some really obvious ones. But in the end she had all of them; 28 Becky faces.

We still have not removed all the faces yet, so we can still have a laugh! So if you are stopping by the office and take a look at Becky’s desk, it might be possible to see some beautiful Becky faces.

I hope to see you all tonight at PuB NiGHT to even have a bigger laugh, some drinks and chatting of course 🙂

INTERNeX Canada: PuB NiGHT Review!

Yesterday, we went to Steamworks for our weekly pub night! It was great because so many people came out (especially some who never have before). I guess they finally decided to join the dark side. But I’m sure it was also because of the Rockies trip! We were all so excited that we couldn’t stop talking about it. We discussed what to pack, what to bring, and how much were are going to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.

Life is so much better when you go out to drink during the week, isn’t it? Just wait until the Summer finally starts rolling in…with hot weather and gorgeous sunsets in Vancouver, you’ll be dying to come out to our pub nights every day!

Actually, there is another reason why I love our weekly pub nights. You get to know everyone a lot better at these events. The more time you share with that person, the more you’ll know about them.  These nights are for  personal stories, laughing together at funny jokes, and sharing great memories. It’s always a good time at INTERNeX pub nights and I also get learn so much about every one.  Who doesn’t want to be around these bunch of lovely people?

Thank you all for coming 😉

INTERNeX Canada: Casual Friday

Just a few weeks left and then we are going to the ROCKIES!! I hope that we are going to see some bears there because they are just amazing animals. To send you all of for a nice weekend I have for you all some amazing bear jokes!!! Enjoy and share..

Two guys are out in the woods hiking.

All of a sudden, a bear starts chasing them. They climb a tree, but the bear starts climbing up the tree after them.

The first guy gets his sneakers out of his knapsack and starts putting them on.

The second guy says, “What are you doing?”

The first guy says, “I figure when the bear gets too close, we’ll have to jump down and make a run for it.”

The second guy says, “Are you crazy? You can’t outrun a bear”!

The first guy says, “I don’t have to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun you.”

An 80 year old man was having his annual checkup,

and the doctor asked him how he was feeling.

“I’ve never been better!” he boasted.

“I’ve got an eighteen year old bride who’s pregnant, and having my child! What do you think about that?”

The doctor considered this for a moment, then said,

“Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day went out in a bit of a hurry, and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun.”

The doctor continued, “So he was in the woods, and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear, and squeezed the handle.”

“And do you know what happened?”the doctor queried.

Dumbfounded, the old man replied “No.”

The doctor continued, “The bear dropped dead in front of him!”

“That’s impossible!” exclaimed the old man. “Someone else must have shot that bear.”

“That’s kind of what I’m getting at…” replied the doctor.

One day a bear was chasing a rabbit through the forest when they tripped over a genies lamp.

The genie comes out and says “hold it, hold it, hold it. If you two will just quit chasing each other for three minutes I’ll give you both three wishes”.

So they say okay that sounds fair.

The genie says “okay who’ll go first?”

The bear pushes the rabbit out of the way and says “I’ll go first”

So the genie says “okay”.

The bear goes “I wish all the bears in the forest except for me were girls”.

The genie snapped his fingers and says done.

The rabbit says, “I wish I had a crash helmet”.

The bear goes well that’s a dumb wish.

But the rabbit says, “that’s my wish”.

The genie snapped his fingers and says done.

The bear says “I wish every bear in the world except me were girls”.

The genie goes that’s a big wish “it’ll count as two wishes”.

The bear goes “o-okay I’ll do it”.

The rabbit has two wishes left so the rabbit says, “I wish for a motor scooter”.

Then he gets on the scooter puts on his crash helmet and as he’s driving away

He yells, “I wish the bear was gay”.

Have a nice weekend.

Time to say goodbye :(

Hi everyone,

Today is my last day at INTERNeX. I remember my first day clearly. It was about 3,5 months ago and according to the people at the office I was very quiet back then. But that only lasted one day, just long enough for me to realize what a crazy bunch of people work at INTERNeX! After realizing that I loosened up and started acting like myself. I had a great time here and the people in the office are very friendly and helpful.

As most of you know, I send a survey yesterday asking you to answer a few short questions. This is all part of my internship assignment that I have to do as a part of my university back home. I would like to thank everyone for filling it out, and ask you to fill another one out next week. This survey will be about your program and gives you the opportunity to tell us about your experiences in Canada

During my time at a PR intern I had to change to meet some amazing people! Every time new candidates came I got the change to meet everyone.  Most of the candidates I saw again during the events we organized! Speaking of events, one part of my job I really liked was organizing events. Some of my favorite events we organized were paint balling, bowling, Disney evening, Lasertag and Karaoke and the outdoor movie viewing. Let’s not forget all those PuB NiGHTS! Always the only sober one there :).  During the last few months we managed to get a steady group of people to come to the PuB NiGHT. We went from not having a regular pub and 5 people attending to the Blarney Stone as ‘ our’ PuB and having 20 people attending! Thanks guys for making the PuB NiGHT a big success.

I especially enjoyed the trip I went on to the Rockies, with 11 of our candidates. We had a blast on that trip. If you haven’t been to the Rockies yet, I highly recommend to go with Moose, or West Trek on their amazing trip to the Rockies! You will see some of the most amazing mountains, waterfalls and get to  meet some pretty great people! Just come by the office and we can book the trip of a lifetime for you!

I hope everyone that is here in Vancouver will come to the Cambie tonight at 6.30 to have a celebratory last drink! But even though it will be my last drink as part of the INTERNeX team, I will be in Vancouver for 2 weeks more, just relaxing and doing some sightseeing!

Thanks everyone for making my time at INTERNeX unforgettable! And thanks to our Dungeon Troll – Simon – for putting up with me trying to learn all I can about ‘ all that computer’ stuff!
