PuB NiGHT Review: Library Square

Another Wednesday, another PuB NiGHT! This time, we thought we’d spice it up and go to a pub we had never been to before: Library Square. Home to Vancouver Arsenal, this is the place to be to watch their matches live every time they play. There was no match yesterday, but that didn’t make our night any less fun.

We walked inside and saw a big tv screen in front of us, there was a baseball game going on! But seats filled up quite quickly, so no one really paid attention to the game. The night consisted of lots of interesting conversations. From discussing summer plans to talking about the process of making chocolate. From marriage to babies. You know, just casual chitchat.

Usually, we leave the pub around 11pm. This time, however, we were still deep into our conversations at midnight! So, I guess you could say we had a good time. When we finished our last beers, some people went home and others continued the fun by going to the Met, our slightly infamous karaoke bar. At 2am, it was time to go home and get some sleep.

I had a great evening with you and loved seeing some new faces! See you all this Sunday for Laser Tag!

Pub and Club Night Announcement

Soon it’s Friday again. But this will be a Friday like no other… it’s time for our pub & club night. Therefore we’ll meet up at 7pm at Library Square Public House. As mentioned before, this will be Alexandra’s last pub & club night, as she’s leaving Vancouver Sunday, August 31st. So be there to give Alexandra the best ever farewell party.

The daily special is featured local craft beer for $5.80. You can choose between a wide variety of food (nice soups, healthy salads or delicious burgers). To finish off your perfect dinner you can top up with a cheese cake or a chocolate brownie. Later during the evening Library Square will fire up a party with some 80s and 90s music… always great fun!

Some of you might remember the location of the Library Square. However, some of you might never have heard about this place. So, Library Squary Public House is situated at 300 W Georgia Street. Click here for directions from Stadium-Chinatown Station.

Remember that you have to show 2 pieces of ID. Library Square only let people in who are at least 19 years of age.

So come and join us for a fun night out in downtown Vancouver!

Review: PuB Night @ Library Square

 Yesterday we had another PuB Night at the Library Square.

We were really lucky and it was still nice and warm when we got there, so we could sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Even though we weren’t lucky with our waitress and our drinks and food took forever to come, we still had a great time and I can really recommend to go there on wednesdays, the beer they have on special is only $3 and their spicy wings don’t promise too much, they’re crazy spicy!

Its great that even some of our new members joint and we hope to see many more new faces in the next few weeks, you’re all more than welcome.

We’re really looking forward to our upcoming trip to the Rockies from tomorrow on and just want to remind everybody that we are going to meet at Canada Place at 12.15pm. Its right at the sign of “Fly over Canada” at the Cruise Ship Terminal. There will be a big green and white bus (Club ESL) with a tour guide in a green shirt in front of it, so you really can’t miss it.

For everybody who doesn’t join us, have a nice rest of the week and a great weekend.

PuB NiGHT Announcement

Let’s have another great Pub NiGHT this Wednesday. On Wednesday (the 14th of May) we will meet at the Library Square at 7pm. The Library Square is located 300 West Georiga Street, right next to the Library.

The specials on this day are:

– $6 Beer & Wings

– $10 Pitcher

 

Also we want to connect the PuB NiGHT with the practice for the Flashmob, which will be tons of fun! So we will meet at 5:30 at the Art Gallery and after a exhausting dance lessons from Lee, we will go all together for some drinks/food to the Library Square. If you don’t want to join us for the Flashmob you can come of course straight to the PuB NiGHT at 7pm.

INTERNeX Canada: HiGHLiGhTs of the Week!

Rise and shine, everybody! Here are some of the highlights from this week:

If you weren’t at the pub night this week, you missed out on some awesome discussion! On Wednesdays, The Library Square has special $5 wings as well as drinks for fairly cheap! Something you definitely didn’t miss out on was the cocktail drinks part. All I can say is that it was just terrible. But as I was about to leave, Erik ordered the wings. And the smell! Vancouver Aquarium day trip TODAY!

It is not too late to join us today, you still have time! We will be meeting at 11:00 am to visit the Vancouver Aquarium! The Aquarium is one of the MUST see places in Vancouver so you really don’t want to miss out. If you can’t make it today, definitely visit them on your own time. They have a special Sharks and Rays exhibition going on until April. You will not only learn about all the fascinating underwater creatures, but also get to experience 4D shows and dolphin shows!
