PuB NiGHT Review: Library Square

Another Wednesday, another PuB NiGHT! This time, we thought we’d spice it up and go to a pub we had never been to before: Library Square. Home to Vancouver Arsenal, this is the place to be to watch their matches live every time they play. There was no match yesterday, but that didn’t make our night any less fun.

41305221034_0ab03ae781_nWe walked inside and saw a big tv screen in front of us, there was a baseball game going on! But seats filled up quite quickly, so no one really paid attention to the game. The night consisted of lots of interesting conversations. From discussing summer plans to talking about the process of making chocolate. From marriage to babies. You know, just casual chitchat.

Usually, we leave the pub around 11pm. This time, however, we were still deep into our conversations at midnight! So, I guess you could say we had a good time. When we finished our last beers, some people went home and others continued the fun by going to the Met, our slightly infamous karaoke bar. At 2am, it was time to go home and get some sleep.

I had a great evening with you and loved seeing some new faces! See you all this Sunday for Laser Tag!

Pub and Club Night Announcement

Soon it’s Friday again. But this will be a Friday like no other… it’s time for our pub & club night. Therefore we’ll meet up at 7pm at Library Square Public House. As mentioned before, this will be Alexandra’s last pub & club night, as she’s leaving Vancouver Sunday, August 31st. So be there to give Alexandra the best ever farewell party.

The daily special is featured local craft beer for $5.80. You can choose between a wide variety of food (nice soups, healthy salads or delicious burgers). To finish off your perfect dinner you can top up with a cheese cake or a chocolate brownie. Later during the evening Library Square will fire up a party with some 80s and 90s music… always great fun!

Some of you might remember the location of the Library Square. However, some of you might never have heard about this place. So, Library Squary Public House is situated at 300 W Georgia Street. Click here for directions from Stadium-Chinatown Station.

Remember that you have to show 2 pieces of ID. Library Square only let people in who are at least 19 years of age.

So come and join us for a fun night out in downtown Vancouver!

Review: PuB Night @ Library Square

Yesterday we had another PuB Night at the Library Square.

We were really lucky and it was still nice and warm when we got there, so we could sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Even though we weren’t lucky with our waitress and our drinks and food took forever to come, we still had a great time and I can really recommend to go there on wednesdays, the beer they have on special is only $3 and their spicy wings don’t promise too much, they’re crazy spicy!

Its great that even some of our new members joint and we hope to see many more new faces in the next few weeks, you’re all more than welcome.

We’re really looking forward to our upcoming trip to the Rockies from tomorrow on and just want to remind everybody that we are going to meet at Canada Place at 12.15pm. Its right at the sign of “Fly over Canada” at the Cruise Ship Terminal. There will be a big green and white bus (Club ESL) with a tour guide in a green shirt in front of it, so you really can’t miss it.

For everybody who doesn’t join us, have a nice rest of the week and a great weekend.

INTERNeX Canada: HiGHLiGhTs of the Week!

Rise and shine, everybody! Here are some of the highlights from this week:

friends!!

If you weren’t at the pub night this week, you missed out on some awesome discussion! On Wednesdays, The Library Square has special $5 wings as well as drinks for fairly cheap! Something you definitely didn’t miss out on was the cocktail drinks part. All I can say is that it was just terrible. But as I was about to leave, Erik ordered the wings. And the smell! Almost ruined my healthy eating plan 😛 If you want to know more about what happened at the pub night, you can read about it here!

They have a special Sharks and Rays exhibition going on until April. You will not only learn about all the fascinating underwater creatures, but also get to experience 4D shows and dolphin shows! Visit the Facebook event page for more information, hurry time is ticking 😉

INTERNeX Canada: PuB NiGHT Review!

Picture time -smile!

Last night we gathered at the Library Square Public House for another round of drinks! It was really nice catching up again after a crazy fun night last Friday at the Pint. We talked about the upcoming trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains! If you are interested, message us or come by the office! Our discussion during the night included so many topics like birthday traditions from different countries to our boring and quiet lives before INTERNeX pub nights and events!

And after feeling ashamed that I ordered tea and water during the previous pub nights, I decided to redeem myself by ordering one of the contemporary cocktails which were on special for just $6.50. I have to say, it was the most watered down, bitter, and strange tasting cocktail I have ever had. I truly regret ordering this drink. Some of the others ordered different cocktails, but they all seemed to agree that it was horrible. After adding some things to make the drink sweeter, it tasted a lot better than the first sip. Lesson learned: stay true to your self…and stick to what you like.

Cuba Blue

Just in case you might make the same mistake, here is a photo:

As for the place itself,  I thought it was cozy with the small tea lights on our tables. Also, we were seated at the back of the pub which made it more private. The music was really great, especially The Look by Metronomy! I think it’s my favorite song for this week!

For those of you who missed our pub night, you better have a good excuse 😉 but that’s okay you can make up for it when we visit the Vancouver Aquarium this Saturday. Check our Facebook event for more information!

Happy Thursday!

Cheers,

Flora

INTERNeX Canada: What to do on the Weekend?

The sun is shining, but it might not last long knowing how fickle Vancouver’s weather can be! This means it’s time to get out there and enjoy the awesome weather we’ve been getting!

SNOW TUBING @ Mount Seymour

Ready for some of the most fun you’ll ever have? At least, I am! Snow tubing is very simple, you sit on a tire-like floaty thing and you slide down the hill – no experience required. Come and hang out with the crew and meet some awesome people! Don’t forget to wear warm clothing and waterproof clothing if possible.

  • Where? Meet inside Waterfront Station (MAP) to take the seabus to North Vancouver.
  • When? 12PM
  • Cost? $20 for two hours of snowtubing and $8 for shuttle cost to Seymour.

Join our Facebook event for more information.

DINE OUT VANCOUVER

Vancouver has some of the best and most diverse cuisines in the world, but it can get pricey when you eat out often. This popular annual festival is back and it is a great way to try out some of the more expensive restaurants at a discounted price! Over 200 restaurants in Vancouver are offering set menus of $18, $28, or $38.

  • When? Jan 18th – Feb 3rd

Check out all the menus at Dine Out Vancouver Website and be sure to make reservations ahead of time!

90s DANCE PARTY @ Library Square Public House

Most of us have grown up in the 90’s listening to Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls or Britney Spears. Well, maybe that’s just me. But the 90’s was a great time and it’s time to relive it by dancing to the best music of that era.

  • Where? Library Square Public House
300 West Georgia Street Vancouver (MAP)
  • When? 9PM to 3AM
  • Drinks Specials? $5.60 Feature craft beer bottles
    $5 House wine

For more information, check out the website HERE.

CANUCKS

What more can I say? The season officially starts tomorrow and you can’t possibly survive this weekend without catching a bit of hockey.

There are two games going on Saturday and Sunday night at 7PM and 6PM right here at Rogers Arena. Tickets are, of course, super expensive, but the atmosphere at any pubs in Vancouver will be just as amazing.

Vancity Buzz has found some of the best cheapest pubs around town to watch the games. Check it out!

Happy Weekend!

Cheers,

Queenie
