Cypress Skiing Day

Saturday was an amazing day! The weather was perfect to go skiing or snowboarding. Thank you all for joining us!

Cypress Mountain is one of the mountains near Vancouver. It has 53 runs and many of them are accessible at night too. In 2010 it hosted the Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding events for the Winter Olympics.

We met on the right side of the ticket windows, some people came by car and some took IMG_6018.jpgthe shuttle bus up the mountain. After renting some skis and buying our tickets we took the first lift around 10:30 AM in the morning. The sun was shining the whole day, at one point we weren’t even wearing our scarfs because it was so warm. Some tried the jumps on the slopes, some succeeded in it and some fell. And after a few hours of skiing we had lunch with some live music, but quickly went back to our skies again to make most of our day. It became a lot busier on the runs and after a few hours we decided to have a little break again and do some night skiing when it was less busy. We had an amazing dinner and amazing coffees with baileys in the Crazy Raven Bar. In the evening we took a few more runs before going back home. The view in the evening was beautiful; you could see all the lights from Vancouver and even Vancouver Island. After 9 hours of skiing we decided to go back home. Some of us even went to the Bourbon after that for some more drinks and meet the other part of the INTERNeX Family.

Thank you all for an amazing day! I hope you had as much fun as I did and I will see you at the coming PuB NiGHT at Malones!

PuB NiGHT Announcement

It’s PuB NiGHT again and we will storm the Railway Club to celebrate Tobias last PuB NiGHT in Vancouver! It’s one of Vancouver’s oldest bars, in business since the 1930s! Every day they host music events and that even since 1981. Over the years some artists have had their big break, playing in the ‘Rail’ and the tradition lives on today as new acts as well as current favorites continue to perform on stage.

The Railway Club’s food menu offers a wide variety for every appetite served at reasonable prices ($6.95 – $9.95) with regular daily specials featuring:

  • Homemade seasonal soup of the day
  • Delicious salads
  • Melt-in-your-mouth burgers, like the famous “De-Railer”
  • Lots of vegetarian options!
  • Classic sandwiches, like the mighty Reuben
  • Super appetizers, including the always popular Nachos
  • Great Daily Specials (Chicken Curry, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Seasonal Pastas, Fish Cakes, Quiche)

Regarding the drinks ^^ Besides their selection of micro brews on tap, you should try one of the house specialties, like for example the ‘Espresso Martini’!

Tomorrow they have several artists performing on stage and since we will be there early, admission is free! The night is going to start with the Savants and later on you can listen to live hip hop with Whiskaz. However, pay attention. The later you arrive, the more likely it is that you have to pay an entrance fee.

INTERNeX PuB NiGHT review

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was slightly different from all the other ones. This Wednesday, we went to the Forum were the “battle of the bands” was taking place.

The 2 Dutchies Thieu, Eveline and George! Sorry Rick, that we cut you out. 😉

The best thing about the evening was the cheap beers. The waitress made a mistake and sold us the first beers for 2,5 dollars instead of 5,75$. 😀  Thereafter she gave us the discounted price the entire night. GREAT FOR US!!!
We started with around 20 people. However after the bands started playing ,some of us left to another club because they could not stand the very, loud rock music. Sorry about that guys. Next week not more rock music, promise!
In the meantime the others enjoyed themselves while drinking this delicious cheap beer. Any beer which is cheap is delicious isn’t it.. 😀
Other people were playing a few games of pool. 2 on 2. While playing we had a lot of fun and in the end team Germany send team Holland/Denmark back home…
All in all it was an amusing PuB NiGHT and it was nice seeing most of people again after I was being away last week.

Next week, I can tell so far, we are going to organize a PuB+ club NiGHT. Therefore get ready to get your dance moves on… 🙂

Cheers,

Your PR Team
