Experience IT review – Vancouver Pride Parade

On Sunday INTERNeX went to the Vancouver Pride parade. Thank you for joining, we had a blast!

We got together at 12pm to ensure a spot along the parade. Unfortunately it was already really crowded, so we didn’t get the best spot in the beginning. Still we were able to enjoy the parade and saw some spectacular acts along the way! Someone even walked on his hands for a few minutes and closed it off with a backflip. It was really good to see everybody so happy and being themselves.

20727902_10155579174907103_5004251810395811518_nThe parade went on way longer then we thought and people in front of us started to leave, so we suddenly had great spots. The festivity lasted about two hours full of joy. After standing and celebrating for so long our stomaches were empty, so we decided to have a nice lunch. Because it was really busy everywhere, they let us wait a while for our food, but it was all worth it in the end since the food was great!

Everybody felt good again, so it was time to party on. We headed to Sunset Beach for the 20664531_10155579174902103_5102332067839628401_nfestival and went over Davie street in between to see what was going on there. After taking a swing on a cloudy swing set we arrived at Sunset Beach, which looked amazing! There were many vendors and two stages. After getting some rainbow paint on our cheeks we decided to go to the stage in the beer garden. It was a blast dancing there with everybody, so it was very unfortunate when we found out the festival was already over at 6pm.

I had a very happy Sunday and I hope you all did too! I hope to see you all next PuB NiGHT since it is mine and Danielle’s last one!

Soccer World Cup: Germany vs. Brazil

The world cup is getting more exciting from match to match. Now there are just four teams left in the competition for the world cup trophy. Tomorrow it is time for the first semi-final, Germany against Brazil at 1 pm. And of course we like to watch also this match together. The winner of this will be in the world cup final, so it will be a very exciting and important match, we are sure!

For this important match we decided to go to a place where we already have been to for a world cup match, we decided to watch the match at The Blarney Stone in Gastown on their 20 foot big screen. There won’t be an entrance fee but unfortunately there is a minimum of $10 per person which has to spend on food or drinks. During the match they will offer food and drinks, so everything should be prepared for an exciting match with hopefully the right score in the end.

Where?     The Blarney Stone @ 216 Carrall Street
When?       12:30 pm (match starts at 1 pm)

So let”s cheer and watch the match together!  Hope to see you at The Blarney Stone tomorrow!

Trip to Deep Cove

After this great weekend and the great Canada Day we are looking forward to have fun at the next weekend. Unfortunately we have to change our plans for the upcoming  weekend! Instead of playing paintball in North Vancouver we will drive to Deep Cove for having some fun together.

We will meet us on Sunday, 6th of July, at the bus stop at Pender Street / Seymour Street at 9:15 am to take the bus to Deep Cove. Please make sure, that you will be there in time because the bus departures just a few minutes later. It is weekend so you can drive with a zone 1 ticket, the bus drive takes about 45 minutes to arrive at Deep Cove. (bus schedule including map)

Deep Cove is the most famous place around Vancouver to kayak. In a circle of mountain you will appreciate the unique landscape. So we will use the time at Deep Cove for kayaking (about $40 – $50), stand up paddling (about $20) or maybe something else. Afterwards we will have lunch together and go for a short hike which is just about 30 minutes but hopefully with some great views and lots of fun.

Please note! – If you are under 19 and you want to rent a kayak or something else, please tell us before via Facebook, Mail etc. because you will need someone who signs for you!

So let’s cross the fingers that the weather will be nice on Sunday so we will have lots of fun together! We will be happy to see you there!!!

Smart Saver

It’s Sunday again, which means another Smart Saver! As you may notice we, here at the office, love sushi. So it should not come as a surprise to you that we have another sushi smart saver.

Fujiya
is a store in the Bental tower on 1050 west pender street. The store offers a variety of Japanse food, such as sushi boxes, bento and fish boxes. And this all for a very low price, the cheapest sushi box starts at $2.95 and you get 9 pieces for it! Can’t get any better.

This place is great for your lunch, the sushi’s are freshly made every day and packed in to go boxes. For those not living in downtown, there are different stores in the area of greater Vancouver, even in Victoria. For more location click here.

Hope you will enjoy your sushi and we might see us at the Fujiya store soon 🙂
