INTERNeX Canada: PuB NiGHT announcement!

Two days of break from drinking is more than enough 😛 so tomorrow we will meet at Doolin’s Irish Pub for our weekly pub night! If you came out last week, you know how much fun it was playing games and winning prizes. Why not come out tomorrow to win some more? We will play BATTLE OF THE SEXES and determine which gender is superior…I think girls will win this: women power! Another game we will play is Jenga -remember playing this in your childhood? If not, find out tomorrow how awesome it is! And of course, how can we forget Cards Against Humanity?

INTERNeX Canada: Smart Saver Vancouver

Are you going to be in Vancouver for a while and are your bangs starting to get in the way? Finding a cheap place for both men and women to get your hair cut here can be quite difficult since there are a lot of options available, but they are usually way too expensive for just a simple hair cut.

One option that I have looked into several times now is, of course, Craigslist. People post advertisements on hair salons every day. There are always great deals available such as ‘two for the price of one’ or ‘bring a friend and the next haircut is for free’.. You need be very careful with scams when using this site though so make sure you are aware of that before you let someone come into contact with your hair with a pair of scissors!

Cloverdale Rodeo – Yeeehaw!

If anyone told me that I’d be watching grown men ride wild bulls in Vancouver, I wouldn’t have believed them. Little did I know though, that I would soon be having a great time at the annual Cloverdale Rodeo.

Yesterday I drove to Surrey with a friend to watch the second largest community rodeo in Canada. This rodeo attracts competitors and spectators worldwide, with many of the participants hailing from Alberta. This traditional exhibition brings agricultural and horticultural exhibits, including arts and crafts, home baking and canning, needle work, photography, sewing and flori-culture to the already, fun-filled long weekend. The exhibition, along with a wide assortment of family activities, truly makes the Cloverdale Rodeo & Exhibition “much more than just a rodeo”.

The Cloverdale Rodeo is well known for its bull riding, world-class cowboys and enthusiastic rodeo fans, but it’s also famous for its party scene. At the Rodeo, the party starts before noon and doesn’t stop until well after sundown. Known throughout the rodeo world, the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair’s Longhorn Saloon, featured live music from May 20th until yesterday. To open up the festivities,  Canadian Rock Legend 54-40 kicked-off with a great performance.

Yesterday was the finals, with prizes as much as $50,000! For that much money, heck – even I would hop on the back of a bucking horse! Check out some of my pictures below!
