INTERNeX Canada: Sun Peaks Trip Review

Last weekend I went with Discover Canada Tours on an Amazing 2,5 day trip to Sun Peaks Ski Resort! I experienced the champagne powder on three different mountains with more than 120 runs! Furthermore there was a hot tub party, a clubnight, snowshoeing, great dinners, and of course lots of fun! On the 17th of February I would like to arrange this trip for INTERNeX!!

Hotel: Delta Lodge Resort
We overstayed in the beautiful Delta Lodge Hotel, located down the mountain and very close to the lifts. The hotel has some outdoor hot tubs and a outdoor swimming pool, with a gorgeous mountain view. I really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of snowboarding!
The room was beautiful with a nice view on the village and the mountains.

Snowboarding/Skiing
The Sun Peaks Resort is the best ski resort I have ever been, and it is the place to be for skiers and snowboarders! I love the dry campaign powder, all the runs, the friendly people on the mountain, and the fact that it is not a busy place. My favorite run was “The Sticks”, this was a green run with many islands of trees as you can see on the picture below. It was amazing to snowboard through the trees! I could to this run over and over!

Snow Shoeing
If you are not a skier/snowboarder, then there are plenty of other awesome winter activities such as Snow Shoeing. For me snow shoeing was a total new experience, and I was surprised how much fun it is to experience the area of Sun Peak while walking with snow shoes! We had a very friendly guide who showed us the best places with beautiful views. Halfway we had a break, and we had chance to drink delicious hot apple cider and to eat some cookies!

The village of Sun Peaks
The village of Sun Peaks looks very nice and offers everything you need. There is a night club, some bars, a supermarket, different restaurants, and some nice shops. I really liked the atmosphere in the village, the friendly people, and that people are skiing in the village from their hotel to the lift!

Click here to see all the pictures!

I would like to thanks Discover Canada Tours, and everyone who joined this trip!

Are you convinced that Sun Peaks is one of the ski resorts which you definitely have to visit? Yes? Join us on the weekend of Friday the 17th of February till the Sunday the 19th because then INTERNeX is going to Sun Peaks. For only $290 you can be part of this amazing trip! Picture of the week

Hi guys!

A few weekends ago I went with my girlfriend, Dieuwertje, to try out the famous ‘Grouse Grind’. Whoever I spoke to already warned me that it was going to be a tough hike, but worth it in the end. I was thinking to myself “yeah right, it cannot be that hard”.

I have to admit that it was not just an average Sunday walk. I could feel most of the muscles in my body when I finally arrived on the top, but overall it was a really nice feeling. Kinda like to conquer something.
The first thing I did when I arrived to the top was to order a double cheese burger with fries. After a serious work out like that it tasted even better 😀

If you have not tried it yet, it is a must and I can definitely recommend it.

Don’t forget to send us your picture of the week, so we can feature it in the future!

Cheers,
Mads

News / fun facts

So you think you can cross Vancouver off your list as “been there done that”? I have gathered 5 things I am sure you have not done yet and might still be a lot of fun!

1. First up you can go on a tour where you get an insight into Vancouver’s darker side. Murder, prostitution, and the drug trade, it is all a part of the tour. The tour is organized by the Vancouver Police Museum’s “Sins of the City” walking tour.

2. Do you like to sing and show of your skills to people who really appreciate it? Then maybe you should try one of the many Japanese-style karaoke bar’s around Vancouver.

3. With summer knocking at the door it is time to get into that wonderful nature and experience “the real Canada”. One way is to go hike, another one is the Zipline between the mountains at Grouse Mountain. With a top speed of 80 kilometres per hour it is sure to get your adrenaline up.

4. Have you always dreamt of mastering a sword? Then you are definitely in the right place! Learn how to master sword arts such as the rapier, side sword, sword and shield, and long sword at Academie Duello.

5. It is dificult not to fall in love with Sushi while living in Vancouver, but the Japanese food and drink culture has much more to offer. Sample three different types of locally handcrafted sake at Osake on Granville Island.

There you go, a few tips for those of you, who are looking for a different Vancouver experience.

Cheers,
Your PR-team

WICKED WHISTLER WEEKEND – review part III

Today the last part of our WICKED WHISTLER WEEKEND review is published. Here it is: enjoy!

Whistler time is Jacuzzi time
The afternoon passed very slowly, and everybody’s hands became totally shriveled after being in the water for hours. That evening was a bit more quite. Somehow everybody was kind of tired. Actually for no reason. Anyway, some people were drinking, some were chilling and others hit the clubs again. The craziest folks among us hiked up the mountain at 4 am at in the morning with the aim of sliding down it on plastic bags. It did not really work out due to the icy mountain. With excitement they told us that it was great up there. It was full moon and apparently the whole village was lit up and bright in the middle of the night.

The Sunday
After having a rather snowy day on Saturday, the pistes again were covered with freshly fallen powder snow. The weather conditions were just perfect again. Some of us were just chilling, having lunch in the village and of course going hot tubbing again. A few others took the challenge and went up on the mountains again to enjoy the beautiful, sunny weather. The view on Sunday was great and the most incredible which there ever possible could be!!

After finishing the last snowboarding run as well as the last hot tubbing round (I definitely should not forget to mention this.. J ), everybody gathered together at 4.30 pm to drive back to Vancouver.

Thanks again for the great weekend with you guys. See you at our INTERNeX Pub NiGHT in the Metropole tonight then!

Cheers,
Your PR team!

Picture of the week!

This time the picture of the week is from our AWESOME WICKED WHISTLER WEEKEND! Last weekend we have been to Whistler with a bunch of INTERNeX candidates. All the candidates and the PR-crew had an amazing time there. We were staying at a hotel with a spa area which included hot tub, swimming pool and sauna and we have taken great advantage of that! The Whistler surroundings were absolutely beautiful, especially when we were snowboarding or skiing up the mountain. We have seen some breathtaking views! Today’s picture of the week is taken on the peak of Whistler Mountain. You can see some of our INTERNeX candidates such as: Dennis, Patrick, Regula, Roy, Patrick’s friend Carlos and George, a member of our PR-team! Beautiful picture guys!! We can’t wait for the next trip…

In case you experienced such a great trip or want to share a story with a great picture of yourself, your friends or you just took a picture of the beautiful countryside Canada has to offer: send an email to pr@internexcanda.com! Your picture might be the next picture of the week!
