New ‘Kids’ on the blog

Let me introduce you to the new candidate of our INTERNeX family, we are so happy to him here!

Here we have Tom. He is 18 years old, originally from Munich in Germany and he is here in Canada for his practicum at a bicycle company where he will work for three months. His duties will include promoting the company and planning events. He says that he just finished high school and his plans after Canada are to study biochemistry at a university in either Germany, or Lund in Sweden. He says that he has been influenced by his parents to go to Canada since he was a child and he has heard that Canada offers incredible nature and is known for great skiing and biking areas. That’s right, we are so glad that he decided to come here and we know that Canada will offer a lot of outdoor activities all year around. He told me earlier that his bucket list includes skiing in Whistler and mountain biking. In Vancouver, he really likes the downtown area, but also how nature is surrounding the city, plus the people here are super friendly. He says that his hobbies are soccer, tennis and American football and his favourite food is Sushi. I think he will have the chance to try out a lot of good sushi while he’s here. Vancouver offers a lot of restaurants for Sushi lovers 🙂

We are so happy that he decided to come to the pacific west coast and we’re sure that he is going to enjoy his stay here with us and everything Canada has to offer!

Cheers

Ida

INTERNeX Canada: Ranchstay program

Hi guys!!

Did you know you could also do a ranchstay with INTERNeX?!
Would you like to experience a totally different lifestyle? Do you like horses, cattles and tractors?
In that case this might be an awesome programme for you!

Experience the vast openness of Canadian Marlboro country and be part of a local farming family. This program is ideal for the cowboy/cowgirl at heart looking to spend some time on a ranch or farm away from all the bright lights of the big city. Ranchstay is for people looking to learn something about the community where they are placed and farming in general.

Ranchstay gives you the chance to become involved with family activities. You can use all the facilities of the farm, i.e. riding horses, driving the tractor etc. Although the program is not only about farming; it is a cultural exchange program where you gain real insight into the Canadian culture, mentality etc. The family may take you along when they visit neighbors, when they do their grocery shopping or when they go to events like rodeos or community festivals.

Ranchstay focuses on your objectives as opposed to the needs of the farm so placements are tailor built. We not only take your requirements into consideration but also try to match your personality with the personality of the farm family. Usually we can get a good grasp of a candidate’s personality by paying attention to how they write their letter of motivation, their pictures and work background. Since you are involved with the family 24/7 it is important that you both get along. Due to the personal relationships that we maintain with the farms we have a greater degree of control over your placement and thus the ultimate successful pairing between you and your host.

INTERNeX provides ongoing support.  We act as a mediator between you and the farm.  INTERNeX provides security; everything is pre-arranged prior to departure. You know where you will be staying.

Ranchstay will allow you to get in touch with your inner cowboy whilst still enjoying the comforts of living with a local farming family. Come and explore Canada’s great wide open and it will be a memory that will last you a lifetime.

Cheers,

Your PR-Team

Winter is coming, take advance now!

Are you planning to be around for the winter? Looking to do some skien or snowboarding this winter? Than make sure you buy your winter passes now! Most Ski resorts have a early bird special, meaning if you buy your winter pass now you’ll save big bucks!

Snow rarely falls in the city, yet living in Vancouver gives you the chance to enjoy some of the best downhill and cross-country ski facilities in North America.

With mountains such as Grouse Mountain, Cypress and Mount Seymour, just outside Vancouver residents and tourists can hardly resist the urge to strap on snowboards, skis or snow shoes throughout the winter months.  Two hours north of Vancouver are the mountains Whistler and Blackcomb. The first mountain you might recognize as the host of the Olympics, Blackcomb is the neighbor mountain and since the opening of the Peak- Peak gondola it is easily accessible for all ski and snowboard fans!

Click on the following links to find out more about the ski mountains and their season passes:

Cypress Mountain

Mount Seymour

Whistler Blackcomb

Grouse Mountain

I wish I was still here when the winter starts, so I can ski one of these beautiful mountains! Be sure to get the winterpass soon most Pre-seasons sales close at Sept. 30th!

We guarantee you’ll relieve some stress and leave with tons of fun memories (and maybe a few bruises).

If we don’t get a group of 12 or more, here are the prices. Please note that NorthShore Paintball only accepts cash payments, so please come prepared.
