What to do on the Weekend

TGIF! I cannot believe it’s already weekend again. The weeks are passing by so quickly, or is it just me?
Anyways, we do have one of my personal highlights lined up this weekend. This Saturday it will officially be okay to get ready for Christmas! Therefore we’ll visit the Vancouver Christmas Market this Saturday! To be frank, I haven’t been there before, but I am a huge fan of Christmas an of course Christmas markets .. so I am one-hundred-percent  ready for this. As long as I get some Christmas-music and a hot Gluhwein, I’ll be the happiest person anyways! Plus since, we will only meet at 4pm, this is a very hangover friendly time. So no excuses accepted!Christmasmarketinstared.png
If you already know, that you’ll be joining this fantastic event, please feel free to click on ‘going’ on Facebook, since I would like to know who will show up at the meeting point, so we won’t depart without you! If you are not ready for a big commitment like this, there is also an ‘Interested’ button ;-).

If you just can’t get enough of Christmas, Vancouver won’t let you down on this, for example just next to Vancouver Christmas Market you also find the Vancouver largest indoor Christmas festival, or you may want to drive up to the Capilano Suspension Bridge to see the beautiful lights up there. If you are more of a listening person, you may be interested in the Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage Concert, this Sunday in Vogue Theatre on Granville Street.
In case you want to see something different for a change, the Cirque du Soleil Luzia is still in town, which is supposed to be an amazing experience to make. Tickets are about $55 and still available!
I am very happy to see you all tomorrow.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Cheers,
— Nadja

PuB-Night Review

And it’s over again – my favorite day of all weekdays.
This week we went to the Moose’s Down Under and again it was great to see that so many people joined us last night! Thanks for that!IMG_4755.JPG
Besides that, we actually got a lot to celebrate last night. Starting off with our newest arrival Simon, being introduced to our group. Since we are a super friendly and easy-going group, he became part of the group very quickly!
Furthermore we actually got a birthday to celebrate and one to “belate-celebrate”. (I don’t know if that is an actual thing … I guess now it is!)
So Happy Birthday once again to Sarah and Laura!
After a few drinks and some really nice food, we went on to the next location. There was no need of discussing which place it will be and I am pretty sure you know already. So just a bus drive later we found ourselves in The Yale Saloon once again.
As they had Jager Bombs on special and since we are always appreciating ways to safe some money, we didn’t loose much time make use of this offer. And after this it seemed like the right thing to do, to sign up for the Bull-riding competition …. Just in case you want to see some more pictures and videos than I will provide up here, check out our Instagram story! After all, we were the lucky winners of a $50 gift card for drinks. Truly the best price to win! 8e2b481b-97bb-40f9-bad9-b38ea8618d44.JPG
The Jager Bombs we got out of this, even gave me enough confidence to try out Line-Dancing. And thanks to the very patient teachers, it kinda looked like some real Line Dance after all!
Thank you guys, I really enjoyed it.
I am already looking forward to next week!
Next PuB-Night will be at the Beaver, 7pm.
See you there!
Cheers,
–Nadja

How was your Weekend?

Time is flying by! How is it already Monday again?
I actually used this weekend to explore Vancouver’s nightlife again. On Friday I went to the Cambie, I had a great time even though we didn’t get to play beer-pong this time. Instead we didn’t leave the dancefloor once ;-).

On Saturday Tom hosted a go-away party! We got to spend some precious time together having a few drinks and pizza! Even though this means, the INTERNeX group will loose a precious member very soon. I hope you had a great time with us Tom and you will be visiting again very soon. We will miss you so much! In case you haven’t attended on Saturday, there is probably another chance to say goodbye at Wednesday’s PuB-Night. Thank you very much for a great night Tom and for being such an important member of our group. And yes of course,  he gets to be mentioned in this blogpost, since he is probably the most loyal reader – it is appreciated :-D. IMG_4727.JPG

On Sunday the INTERNeX crew went out to explore a “part of Canadian history”. We went to the Olympic Experience all the way in Richmond.  The Olympic Experience provides many different simulations of different sports. Since we were almost the only guests around, we were really lucky to get he stuffs full attention. Basically we went skiing, ski-jumping, on a bobsleigh, rowing, car racing and many more on the real olympic tracks.
I have to admit, some of the stuff left me behind with a weird feeling in my tummy :-D. I’d be not very successful at the Olympic games, I guess. IMG_4725.JPG
My personal highlight was actually the hockey game we got to see, right where the magic happened in 2010. And this game turned out to be quite intense. Well at least if you are just used to watching soccer, I guess ;-).

Thanks again for a great weekend guys!

See you this Wednesday at the Moose’s Down Under!

Cheers,

–Nadja
