Experience IT Review – Vancouver Jazz Festival

On Saturday we had a great day in the sun at the Vancouver Jazz Festival and on English Bay Beach!IMG_4332.jpg

We met in front of the London Drugs on Georgia Street and when everyone arrived we decided to get some lunch first. So we went to the Pacific Centre, where there was a stand with people holding a canoe over their head and taking pictures. So we decided we wanted one too and ended up looking very Canadian.

After we got our lunch in the Pacific Centre food court we went to the Vancouver Jazz Festival. This festival takes place every year with venues all over town and this weekend there was a free event at Robson and Georgia. We went there, sat down in the sun and listened to the music.

After a while we were all really hot from sitting in the sun so we decided to go to English Bay Beach to enjoy the rest of our day. We all got matching beach towels at Dollarama and relaxed in the sun.

Thank you all for coming and I hope to see you all at PuB NiGHT!

INTERNeX Canada: Mercedes says “Hola”

Hey everyone,

I’m Mercedes and I’m the new PR intern.  I was born in a Spanish city called Vigo, right in the Atlantic Coast, and that’s probably the reason why I love the sea and the beach so much.

I was really shocked when I firstly arrived to Vancouver due to the weather: foggy and rainy. I left the sunny and warm Spain, but I’ll do my best to get along with this weather. I’m sure this wonderful city has  a lot  to offer to everyone.

I’m studying Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Vigo and I want to achieve a career in International Relations and Marketing. By the way, last year I studied in Austria. So yes, I speak German, but I’m not as pretty good as I’m with English. At the moment I’m here for taking some work experience and for having a university break.

Talking a little bit about my personal hobbies, my passion is traveling and meeting new people.  I really believe that traveling makes you always seeing life in a new perspective and makes you think who and where you want to be in life.

During my free time I go shopping (as you can see in the picture taken in the Pacific Centre), I hang out with friends or I just stay at home watching a movie.

I hope this experience in Canada will fill my life with wonderful memories, a lot of good times and amazing people. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you really soon and please, feel free to chat with me anytime or leave a comment!

INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend

The holidays are approaching and I was doing my present shopping last weekend. I went to the Pacific Centre and the Mall was packed. The Pacific Centre as well as many other parts of Vancouver Downtown (in the picture you can see Gastown) are decorated for the holidays. Lots of shops have special offers and it is hard to pick and choose what to get.

Well this was my weekend, not very exciting and as always way to short 🙂

I am sure Lydia had a much more interesting weekend as myself. She went on Friday morning to a long weekend trip and will be back in the office tomorrow. I am sure she will post something about her trip later this week and I can not wait to see the pictures she made.

I wish everyone a good start into another week and please let us know how your weekend was. Just leave a comment on below this Blog Post or post a comment on our Facebook Page.
