This week we have a ‘artsy’ Smart Saver for you. It is the last week of February and the last week you can visit the art gallery for only $10 and receive a exclusive Emily Carr print, while supplies last.
Emily Carr was a Canadian artist and author and the Canadian Encyclopedia describes her as a ‘ Canadian Icon‘. She is mostly known for her forest scenes paintings, however the aboriginal themed paintings, which she made in her earlier years, are also popular among the artistic folks.
If you like more the wood carving arts, you should visit The Dance Screen (The Scream Too) exhibition by James Hart during your visit at the gallery. His exhibition is inspired by the traditional Haida stories, which were depended on salmon for their survival.
The gallery opens daily from 10am to 5pm and on Tuesdays until 9pm. If you do not want to pay $10 for your visit, than visit the gallery Tuesdays between 5pm and 9pm for free or make a donation.
