Our picture of the week is one of Josephine from Germany
Josephine just finished school in Germany and went to Canada to collect some awesome experiences before going off to college. Usually she is more comfortable in French, but she takes on the challenge of dealing with the Vancouverites and their talk about the weather in English. Read what Josephine thinks about Vancouver and her internship at Living Blueprint so far…
How did you find INTERNeX International Exchange?
It’s a great chance! I’m so happy to be here.
Why did you choose to go to Canada?
I wanted to go to a very special country! Canada is definitely special: it’s bilingual, has a beautiful landscape and nice people, …
How do you like your internship?
My internship is awesome! I have a lot of fun here and learn a lot of new things about Marketing and Branding every day.
What kind of tasks are you responsible for on a daily basis?
There is no special task I really do every day. In the first week I learned to work with programs like InDesign. Now, I am working on some little “projects” to improve my knowledge about this software and to practice it. Additionally, I just look over my colleague’s shoulder from time to time to take part in the current events.
What are the downsides so far?
There aren’t really downsides so far. Just the weather at the moment…but that is something I expected 😀
What do you like most about Vancouver?
The landscape around the city!
Where have you been in and around Vancouver?
I was at Lynn Canyon, in Downtown, at the Chinese Garden, at Jericho Beach and yesterday I went to the hockey game of the Canucks vs. New York Rangers! It was so amazing!
What is the most surprising thing you have seen or noticed so far in Vancouver?
People say “thank you” to the bus driver when they get off the bus. First, that was a bit unusual to me but I think it’s really nice!
Thanks for your insight, Josi.
