From this weekend on, Cineplex is showing movies from the 80’s en 90’s. So if you like some old movies, the Flashback Film Festival is the place to be. Pick a movie, grab popcorn, sit back and enjoy.

Before we celebrate the Chinese New Year, you have the opportunity to celebrate the Nisga’s Nasion New Year first. During this celebration called Hoobiyee are a lot of free activities and performances at the PNE. And the best part: free entrance! So head to PNE this Friday or Saturday and celebrate.

If you like museums than I have some good news for you! Instead of paying entrance for all those museums, pay just $5 dollar for a ticket instead. This ticket gives include entrance to the Museum of Vancouver, H.R. MacMillan Space Centre and Maritime Museum. Buy a ticket and visit them all this Saturday between 10am and 5pm.

Don’t miss out the Super Bowl Sunday! The American Football championships are taking place on this day. If you know how much Canadians love sport, you can imagine this is a big thing here. So go to the pub and watch the game.

Enjoy your weekend to the fullest. Don’t regret anything you did, only regret the things you didn’t do. I can’t wait to see you all in our office for game night or on Sunday at the Super Bowl game. Cheers!

How was your weekend?

The weekend is over already? I swear it was Monday like 5 seconds ago. Ok new week, let’s do this. But before I am ready for you, let’s look back to the weekend first.

26909292_1591413390947326_105795224_oFriday around weekend o’clock many people showed up at my place for some games. We played zombies, what do you meme, chug and bus driver. Before we realised it was already 11 pm, which means less games and more club. So we moved to Roxy and danced the night away.

Good morning afternoon, time to get up and go to the PNE. There we watched a lot of light sculptures during the Chinese Lantern Festival. We walked around for two hours, ate some food and watched a lot of performances. After the festival, we headed over to the bourbon for more games.

I hope your weekend was a good one too. Tell me all about it next PuB NiGHT at the Blarney Stone. See you there!

Just a couple more hours people and then you can finally enjoy your well deserved weekend. And since for now the weather forecast for this weekend looks pretty good, we will give you some tips how you can spend your weekend!

Since Halloween is right around the corner this weekend there will be a lot of Halloween activities. You can enjoy an adults-only murder mystery event at Science World today called After Dark Zombie Breakout or you can go to Dooms Night which is a Halloween Party (19+) at the Pacific Coliseum.

15442778009_c638d172e4_zOf course you also have a lot of haunted attractions like for example the Barclay Manor Haunted House, VanDusen Glow in the Garden at the VanDusen Garden and the Fright Nights at the PNE.

If you don’t like Halloween then you can also enjoy the Harrison Beer Festival on Friday or Saturday or Cirque du Soleil which is the whole weekend.

We as INTERNeX are going to Whistler this weekend for our monthly trip. Like you could have read in the blog post about the trip we will meet at 9:30 am in front of Burrard Station to start our amazing weekend!

I wish you all a great weekend and for the people joining Whistler, I will see you tomorrow!

This whole weekend there is the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), which is Vancouver’s annual summer fair with amusement, rides, shows, vendor markets and live music. Each night there is a different band playing. A ticket for the fair will cost you $14 if you buy your tickets online otherwise it will be $17 at the gate. They also have a special After Dark Gate Pass which you can get after 9 pm which will cost you only $5. The fair takes place in Playland.

If you like creepier things then Saturday is the day you have to visit the Vancouver Zombie Walk. This is an informal parade of people in zombie costumes. All the participants meet at 3 pm outside the Vancouver Art Gallery and will start walking from Robson Street to English Bay at 4 pm.

On Sunday the Vancouver Canadians play a match against Boise Hawks, so if you like baseball you can check that out as well. We all hope you will have an amazing weekend and of course we hope to see you at the next PuB NiGHT

What to do on the weekend

It is finally Friday and it only takes a few more hours till we finally can enjoy the weekend. If you don’t have any plans for the weekend yet, then check out this blogpost for some inspiration!

36466811465_3540120658_oOn Sunday the INTERNeX gang is going to explore Stanley Park by bike. By doing this, we can cover more ground, which means that we will be able to see more of Stanley Park. Besides that you will finally experience Vancouver in the most Dutch way!

If you rather do sports, then the KitsFest is the place to be! This is a 3 day sports festival taking place in Kitsilano. You can do yoga, volleyball, water polo, basketball and many other sports. Besides that there is also a DJ playing music throughout the day. The festival starts today and will take place till Sunday.

You can also watch the great baseball team of Vancouver, the Vancouver Canadians. They will have a match against Everett Aquasox at the Nat Bailey Stadium. If you are not able to get a ticket anymore, then you can also watch the game in one of the sports bars in Vancouver.

This weekend is the opening weekend of PNE. The whole weekend you are able to get in for only $1.50 if you wear red or a Canadian maple leaf and arrive between 11 AM and 1 PM. Normally PNE is pretty expensive, so by going this weekend you will save quite some money. There are also shows, vendor markets and live music, so it is definitely worth checking out!

I hope to see you all at the Stanley Park bike ride!
