Goodbye Everyone, Auf Wiedersehen!

To be honest: today is not the day to write this blog post. Sometimes you have to say “goodbye”. But today?! I’m not ready to do it at all.

The last 7 weeks have flown by faster than I ever expected. And now, today is my very last day here in Vancouver. First I want to say thank you to Mina and Tim. They gave me the chance to do this amazing internship at INTERNeX. I’ve been treated like a normal employee, allowed to take initiative and to be responsible for several tasks. I’m very proud to be a part of the INTERNeX family! Thanks to Annika and Simon as well. All of you were really supportive and all of you made my stay more comfortable and especially more funny!

But I have to say thank you to many other people as well. Because I was a part of the PR-Team at INTERNeX, I met so many great people during our events. I’m very lucky that I met guys like you. I get friedns from all over the world. Canada, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Columbia, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Germany and so on…Thanks to all of you. YOU’RE AMAZING!

I really enjoyed my stay in Vancouver. I will miss Canada. I will miss Vancouver. And I will miss ALL OF YOU!

INTERNeX Canada: Flora says “it’s time for us to part, my friends!”

I can’t believe my internship here at INTERNeX has come to an end! Wednesday is really an odd day to end, isn’t it?

To be honest with you,  I was a complete nervous wreck when I first started way back in January. Everything was so overwhelming and every single task terrified me. As soon as I heard that I  might be the only PR intern working, I was seriously worried…had I made the right choice? But of course, the answer was yes. I don’t think I’ll ever regret this…especially because I was able to meet so many wonderful people. To everyone (including those who have already left Vancouver), although it might have been a short time, I had so much fun and thanks for being AWESOME.

I’ll always remember our hilarious pub nights, trips on the weekends, the beautiful and fun Rockies trip, and of course that amazing pub and club night last Friday. I want to let you all know that you have impacted my life in so many ways. To all the staff in the office, thank you for being so encouraging and supportive. It’s actually weird that I have to leave…I was just getting so comfortable here!

What’s next for me, you ask? Well, it’s back to being a student for the moment. Yep, that means textbooks and exams (no more pub nights for me on weekdays…no tequila shots). And after that, who knows! But I’ll still be around in Vancouver so we can hangout!

I want to leave with a quote (you might have read it on my desk frame), “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened” -Dr. Seuss. What an incredible, amazing, lovely, humbling, fun, and most of all, learning, experience. I’ll miss everyone and not being the one in charge haha but hey, it’s my turn to sit back.

note* I think out of all my blog posts, this was the hardest to write. I just didn’t know where to begin.

INTERNeX Canada: PUB + CLUB NIGHT Announcement!

As you all may know already or not know, this Friday January 25th, we will have another awesome club and pub night at one of our favorites, the Pint! This pub and club night is something you definitely don’t want to miss out as Irene and Queenie have approached the end of their PR internships here at INTERNeX Canada.

Everyone at INTERNeX (or actually during life in general) has to say bye at times, and those people who are leaving will be replaced by new ones. And as sad as that is, I also think that being able to meet new people and create new memories always keeps things exciting, doesn’t it?

So even if they are leaving, it won’t be end of the world. If they were special to us, then we will surely meet them again soon. Really there is no reason to cry! Come have a drink or two (or possibly more?), wish them farewell, and party on!

If you want to avoid the long line up and the $10 cover charge after 9:00 pm, we advise you to be there at 7:30 pm! Also, join this event on Facebook too, so see you all there 🙂

INTERNeX Canada: So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Adieu

I think this song from my all-time favourite movie seem very fitting at this moment…

I can’t believe it is time for my internship to come to an end here at INTERNeX.  It has been such a great experience and so much fun that the past 2 months have flown by faster than I ever expected!

I have loved meeting each and every person who has come through the INTERNeX office and I have the luck of being a local Vancouverite so just because I am leaving INTERNeX, it doesn’t mean you won’t still be seeing me around 😉  You haven’t seen the last of me and I plan on coming out to PuB NiGHTs and other INTERNeX events for sure.

I want to thank INTERNeX for teaching me so much and allowing me to work independently and put my skills and interests to work in the professional world.  I have had the most amazing time here and I feel very proud to be a part of the INTERNeX family.  I have such a love for this company and everything they do and I have only positive memories to take away with me.

I especially would like to thank Simon and Tim for being so supportive of me throughout this whole experience and really allowing me to get the most out of internship. I will miss the girls at the PR team SO much and I have made great friendships that I know will last! Luckily I’ll be living in Vancouver so I won’t be far away 🙂
